Hi - I upgraded my desktop computer from Win 7 to Win 10 yesterday. BOINC and SETI@Home both seemed to be running just fine. When I checked my account online all of the tasks were listed for my laptop, but none of the tasks started since I upgraded for the desktop pc. (This includes in progress, validation pending, valid, etc.) Older pre-upgrade tasks are shown under "All tasks for computer 6140122", but not under "All tasks for sirlampsalot". My laptop didn't have this issue with the upgrade. My desktop computer id is 6140122 and my laptop is 7360927. Should I reset SETI my desktop pc, or is this an issue on the SETI side of things? Thanks Dave |

Hi there, That you're missing all tasks showing that you downloaded since yesterday is due to the Seti replica database being offline. We all have this problem, it's only cosmetic, it doesn't mean you're not getting credits or that all tasks/results have been lost. It also has nothing to do with you updating to Windows 10. To see if the replica database is back, you can check the server status page at http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_status.html (or from About->Server status on the Seti menu bars). Seti uses the replica database for showing the tasks on the account page, to lighten the load on the database. If all this happened from just one server, all the several hundreds of thousands of hits on the database per second would bring it down. |

Thanks - that is a relief! Dave |
