We have all heard about the data we may get at some time from Green Bank. I saw this article about Green Bank, and wanted to post it. It may have been posted elsewhere, but I didn't see it in my quick search. I've never owned a microwave, and I totally commiserate with complaints about cell phone usage. I could live there. ;~) I didn't know diesel vehicles don't have spark plugs! ![]() |

I didn't know diesel vehicles don't have spark plugs! Gordon that's how they work, pv = nrt, the ideal gas law. |

I've never owned a microwave, and I totally commiserate with complaints about cell phone usage. I could live there. ;~) I couldn't survive without a microwave oven due to the bulk meals that I cook up and freeze here, though I can certainly live without a mobile phone (and don't get me started on stupid smart phones). As to diesel engines, they require a high compression ratio to ignite fuel after their glow plugs have produced the initial heat to start. Cheers. |

That's right. I always wondered how a diesel engine could be timed so that the cylinders fired at the correct part of the compression stroke, I would think that there would be variations due to temperature and fuel volatility. I guess that strict requirements for #2 diesel and the fact that the injectors introduce fuel on split second demand make everything work. |
