I recall reading that its atmosphere is in super high orbits at times. I also believe it said the it is sometimes near ground level and other times high orbit. Something that was impressive.

Pluto nearly fills the frame in this image from the Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI) aboard NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft, taken on July 13, 2015, when the spacecraft was 476,000 miles (768,000 kilometers) from the surface. This is the last and most detailed image sent to Earth before the spacecraft’s closest approach to Pluto on July 14. The color image has been combined with lower-resolution color information from the Ralph instrument that was acquired earlier on July 13.

I am re-posting 2 links from other thread in Message boards: Science (non-SETI): Pluto is a Planet! here also:

Colbert to Neil deGrasse Tyson: Pluto 'has a heart, unlike you'
Watch Stephen Colbert try to coax some love for Pluto out of Neil deGrasse Tyson while they eat Klondike bars and discuss drafting in Nascar.

Should Pluto return to the planet club?
In 2006, Pluto had its planet status revoked. Now a petition hopes to get it restored -- but would other dwarf planets ride in on its coattails?

Love it! These two are hilarious when they're together.

Pluto is round like Earth is, both have an atmosphere, both should be planets, the only remaining reason Pluto isn't a planet anymore.

It's pretty lame too, the orbit of Pluto crosses Neptune, I think the Sea God skewered the orbit with His trident some...

Neil deGrasse stated in the last day or 2 that "no respectable would cross another planet's orbit", but what would he know about what a planet thinks?

Cheers.

I was shocked that Dr. Tyson's education did not include
a reading of Dante Alighieri's poem the Divine Comedy...

Edit:
No really, he didn't know that there is ice in hell.
