Message 2145090 - Posted: 11 Jan 2025, 0:06:34 UTC - in response to Message 2145065.

I signed up with Acorn so I could watch Banhöffer.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer; (4 February 1906 – 9 April 1945) was a German Lutheran pastor, neo-orthodox theologian, and anti-Nazi dissident who was a key founding member of the Confessing Church. His writings on Christianity's role in the secular world have become widely influential; his 1937 book The Cost of Discipleship is described as a modern classic. Apart from his theological writings, Bonhoeffer was known for his staunch resistance to the Nazi dictatorship, including vocal opposition to Adolf Hitler's euthanasia program and genocidal persecution of Jews.[2] He was arrested in April 1943 by the Gestapo and imprisoned at Tegel Prison for 1½ years. Later, he was transferred to Flossenbürg concentration camp.

Bonhoeffer was accused of being associated with the 20 July plot to assassinate Hitler and was tried along with other accused plotters, including former members of the Abwehr (the German Military Intelligence Office). He was hanged on 9 April 1945 during the collapse of the Nazi regime.

I watched it yesterday. It was very good. I had no idea what was going on with the Christian Church in Germany during the Third Reich.

I saw a video about \/ California Fire Hydrants \/ today, it says a reservoir was under repairs, plus what the rainfall or the lack was, etc, etc, etc.
I thought this would be interesting as videos go.

Title: Why Did California Fire Water Hydrants Run Dry?

The park here has very small hydrants which are just uninsulated pipes coming up out of the ground, maybe 2-3" plus a fire hose compatible part.

Here we're supposed to get upgrades in February, of course this was to happen in December and no digging happened.

What is going to be replaced?

Except for the trash bins, everything as it's all worn out, the electrical is so old that there are no new parts and service to each home is substandard at 60 amps, yes, 60, not 200 amps, my home panel is rated for 100 amps, to get power my 100 amp stub has 2 breakers a 100 amp and a 60 amp, they tried 100 amps by itself in 2006 and got no power, so a 60 amp breaker was added to bridge between the 100 amp stub breaker and the park then we got power, crazy but it works, the park until the upgrade happens is under a no new home connection embargo by the state of California.

If I run a circuit with a 60 amp breaker the main will trip if I use it currently, I might be safe at 40 amps with an EV that uses 32 or 15 like my car could, I used to have an electric clothes dryer with a 60 amp breaker, it would do this when I started the dryer.

If a heavy truck or home goes down a street a pipe breaks or if ground movement happens and pipes have had to be patched.

I need an electrician as at 120v I'm limited to 1 trip a day, if I went to the store I could not go to the ER later cause of a small Chevy Spark 18.4Kw EV battery(Chevy Bolt EV's come with 60Kw or 66Kw) and a smaller charge rate, 240v is better than 120v for charging, but 120v is what I have @ 8 Amps or 12 Amps if I plug the car in and get back inside to set the max to 12 Amps, 15 Amps is available if one has 240v and 240v only, plus I need a new mattress for my back.

I'm now watching the new "Dexter: Original Sin" on Paramount+. So far I'm not disappointed.

There's also a new "Dexter: Resurrection" coming this summer.

Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl

I noticed a few Easter Eggs towards the end.
The most blatant of the bunch. A penguin disguised as a nun.
Flintstone power.
Ernst Stavro Blofeld mastermind of Spectre.
And finally John Steed with his signature umbrella (The Avengers 60’s British tv)
