Going to be watching “In Another World With My Cellphone”. I went and finally bought a licensed copy instead of the YouTube bootleg copy of it.

The latest episode here of "Miriam Margolyes: Australia Unmasked".

All about an ex. pat UK actress who is learning about life and living down under.

[edit] And then I'll be watching the latest Aussie farmers' news, just so I'm up to date with what the locals farmers are talking about.

Cheers.

Watching the Bond movies on amazon.
It`s the 60th anniversery so most films are free for prime members.

Last night tomorrow never dies and Golden Eye.

Stephen King's Storm of the Century (1999 TV miniseries) has been released on Hulu so I watched it again. I originally watched the miniseries on TV many years ago. I remembered a little bit about it, but not all of it. I sort of knew the ending but wasn't completely sure of the details. It remains thrilling and entertaining even now, 23 years later.

Blake's 7 - Boxed, DVD Set, 4 Seasons. (Region 2 DVDs.)

I finally invested in a Panasonic Region Free 4K HDR, HDR10+ Blu-Ray Player. The unit also plays
DVDs Region Free. So, I invested, also, in Blake's 7 Region 2, (UK), Boxed DVD Set.

It was AWESOME to see this series, again. I've waited for what seems like 'Forever' in hopes of the
BBC releasing this in Region 1 NTSC, (US), format, but it seems it's NOT going to happen. So, after
buying my Region Free player, I was able to watch the Region 2 PAL format DVDs.

My, now, antique Samsung 32" HD 720p TV, (upscales to 1080i), @60Hz actually converted to
50Hz PAL via the Region Free player over AudioQuest's 5' 48Gbps 4K/8K/10K Cinnamon cable.
Picture was crisp and sharp.

I bought both items on July 14th, 2022. The player arrived on 7-16, and the DVDs arrived 8-1. I just
finished the series a couple days ago.

I HIGHLY recommend watching, (or re-watching, as the case may be), this series.

Wow! That's good vintage stuff!!

Also fantastic for what could be done with playschool special effects!

... Region Free...

Yes, why do we allow the big media companies to strangle the availability of our own culture?!

Enjoy!

Poor Blake. He championed the noble fight only to be on the losing side at the end.

Did not Blake retire to raise a family only to be undone by Orac and Avon uncovering his newly unassuming new life?...

Distrust then killed them all...

Quite a thoughtful ending...

Keep searchin'?

Two of my neighbours worked on Flakes 7.
One on the and the other as a cameraman. Some of the stories about sets falling apart mid shooting were very hilarious. One can only imagine the mirth when one paper wall decided to fall down over a dolly mounted camera and the cameraman decided he was now a Dalek....

A fun (painfully obvious) film-themed treat for engineering and railway nerds the world over:

Bond Street Station is now Open

Good fun pre-dawn amateur reporting!!

Enjoy!

Minor aside:

As seen in that example, note that for all the new stations, the track and tunnel is completely enclosed behind a long glass barrier with sliding doors aligned with the train carriage doors...

I had assumed that was merely to physically prevent passengers falling onto the tracks, with a secondary excuse that there is then less concern about overcrowding on the platforms.

However...

There is a big positive in that those barriers keep pollution and metal particulates from the trains being blown throughout the stations and walkways.

(So, what of the rest of the tube/underground systems and the health of the train staff?...)

Enjoy?

There is another reason - these barriers help keep the temperatures in the platform areas down, so reducing the load on ventilation and cooling systems.

How blast proof is the barrier? We don’t always live in a nice world.

Back to the topic.
I will be watching a London area based anime called “Burn the Witch”.
