Getting ready to watch Taxi Driver. Amazing but true, I've never seen it.

I watched the first season, then totally forgot about it. I would have continued watching if I'd remembered because I did enjoy it. I have no idea what happened to make me quit watching (i.e. to make me forget about it).

I had to Google it to find out what it was. That's how forgotten it was.

When I saw what Angela typed, I thought Episodes of what show? Thanks for clearing that up Suzie-Q.

There was a long period of time between the first season and the new episodes of Episodes that are just now coming out. That is probably why you forgot it.

Please refresh my memory. Where can I watch it? Netflix? Hulu? Somewhere else?

Thank you.

P.S. If I remember I'll look it up myself, but there's real good chance I'll forget. :-(

I volunteer at an art museum, here, and one of the things they have is a theatre that shows indie art films. This one was shown, this afternoon:

Stephen King had a cameo in Mr. Mercedes last week. I actually saw him before someone had to tell me he was there.

The chef in the diner, right?
Lori and I pick him out as the one.
We are watching that crazy series as well.
Wonder if they shall drag this thing out into another season.

Well I believe there was a second, related book written by Mr. King. I think.
That could be the second season. (Just Googled it. Finders Keepers.)

This show is surprisingly vulgar. A lot of what we've seen certainly wouldn't be shown on any other network, I think. (For those who don't know, it's on the Audience channel.)

Actually......
I just looked, and according to the list on wikipedia, Mr. Mercedes is part of a Bill Hodges trilogy!
So apparently, Mr. King takes his clever detective through three full novels.
And I like Brendan Gleeson very very much in the role. My favorite character in the TV version.
Will be interesting to see if they do all three.

The Vietnam War documentary on PBS.

Yeah, a piecemeal war, adding more forces a little at a time, instead of over whelming numbers, fighting only in the South was futile, as long as the North was only bombed, the NVA had a free hand in the South, to stop the NVA would have required a land invasion of the North, bombing by itself did little, besides put off the Victory of the North over the South. That would have been the only way to stop the VC, since the VC were almost everywhere in the South. It didn't help that the SV government was biased against non-Christians, which helped the VC immensely. And it's like is said there, if the US had stayed out, victory by the North would have happened in 1966, instead of in 1976. But that is not what happened, sad to say.

I'm watching "The Orville" on Fox.
