On a blog in "Le Scienze" online magazine a climate scientist writes that animals are helping the permafrost in Siberia because they crush the snow and let the cold winter air to keep the permafrost frozen. Snows act as a blanket that keeps the ground warmer in winter. There is an Italian saying "sotto la neve pane " (under the snow bread).

We have permafrost in the northern mountainous part of Sweden but not so much more anymore. Today it's more like walking in a bog...
Like in Estonia actually. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KezGMW2pjCg

I’m watching TED Talks on a 130 inch image on my wall. Then I did a couple of episodes of Ghost in the Shell SAC 2045. It is a much more immersive experience than on a small tv.

1st half of the 2nd volume (Tale of Two Towers)

We are watching the eXtended version rather than the theater release.

Think I may have found it in the "screen" this morning too. It's is a relief!

Got through the 2nd half of the "Tale of Two Towers" extended DVD of the Lord of the Rings Thursday night.
