My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events.

I am going to watch the Palio di Siena where horses race in Piazza del Campo in downtown Siena, a middle age race with Contrade racing against each other and there is a big flag with the image of the Madonna. This year the bishop has not blessed the image, drawn by a modern artist because it is not in the traditional shape, but the race will go on all the same. Milo Manara is a designer of cartoons, especially sexy cartoons. After the race there will be a lot of Chianti wine.

Parasyte The Maximum

Not for the faint of heart. There is a large grisly body count. Japanese anime that goes in for some very graphic violence and macabre. But hey, they got to eat. The subtitles have a “English with subtitles for the hearing impaired.” So you can “hear” what goes on off screen when you can’t see it.

I walked by a DVD in Walmart that contained, according to the cover, several movies, etc., by Stephen King. There was one I didn't recognize: Golden Years. Research told me that it was a miniseries that was on TV during my last tour of duty (Army) in Germany. So I found a cheap DVD on Amazon with only that miniseries. It arrived today. I will begin watching it either tonight or tomorrow.

There is a good reason that it is not well known. The reason without saying too much is that it is not one of his better movies. It makes a okay “B” flick.

It was awful! There were times when I actually wondered if they were trying to make a serious movie/miniseries or a comedy.

I was trying to be nice about the show. Now I don’t have to. It is at best B movie material and not the best at that. It is one of those watch once and never again. Unless you want to torcher somebody.

It's a movie. Why be nice? I'm sure the producers know it sucked! 😂🤣😂

But it was based on a Stephen King story, and I'm a fan, so I had to watch.

I saw it back in February at the theater. It followed the source material much better and I liked it too.

Just woke up from binge watch of Carnival Row. Somehow, watching fairies and humans copulate is an interesting idea but not much of a turn on. I did not like the ending and assume it will be another year to find out what happens, assuming it is not canceled.
