Insomnia has me watching The Orville, first episode. Not bad. I had to laugh when one of the crew asked if he could have soda on the bridge, and they later showed him sipping it through a straw. I always did wonder why they didn't have cup-holders on those Star Trek bridge chairs, lol. ;~)

I like that show. It's not as funny as I'd like it to be, but I guess they want it to be a true sci-fi show.

Yeah, it straddles the line.

The Orville, ep 11, New Dimensions, in full HD, on FOX NOW...

And no cable tv was required...

I think I also have 4K content available too.

I think the comedy in that show is an acquired taste. I think a better title for Orville would be "Frat Boys In Space". Then at least viewers would be warned.

And Star Trek as of late could be entitled The Darkness, cause it is decidedly Dark...

Yes, what I've found is the humor wears thin on me after a couple episodes. Spoofs like that tend to work better as one-offs.

Shrek the Halls

The 4K TV makes existing signal a bit sharper I think, at least that is what it looks like to Me.

Started watching M. Night Shyamalan's "The Happening", last night, but it was getting weird, so I turned it off. I'll try to finish it, tonight.

Well, I just finished watching it. It had an interesting premise, but it wasn't presented in a way that satisfied me, plus I could have done without a couple violent scenes.

The Orville - Last episode of the season.

I knew it was a new episode, but it sure looked like - and had a similar plot to - an earlier episode.

I'm not real sure how I feel about it, but part of me is wondering if the writers are already out of ideas.

I think the show has been renewed for a 2nd season, yeah I saw it, well all but the 1st 11 mins, in a degraded 1080P to 480i picture, with 16:9 aspect ratio preserved, on a 4K TV, it's almost as sharp as it was before being degraded, neat.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I think one of my favorite scenes is when Richard Dreyfuss motions for a car to go around him and the headlights slowly go vertical.
