I've been watching a lot of Star Trek, The Next Generation, lately. I've just always liked that show. It's a nice escape for me. The only one of the movies with that cast I liked, however, was First Contact.

Whatever I can find on 11 SD channels, there is a place for a 12th channel, but the County has nothing to put there.

Currently ch4 News out of Los Angeles.

Why do americans do so many remakes?
Solaris 2002.
A troubled psychologist is sent to investigate the crew of an isolated research station orbiting a bizarre planet.
Director: Steven Söderbergh
Writers: Stanislaw Lem (novel), Steven Söderbergh (screenplay)

Director Steven Söderbergh has done many good movies.
I have to see this remake to see what he is doing wrong...

Solaris, and I don't understand why it received such high ratings.

You mean this?
Solaris (Russian: Солярис) is a 1972 film directed by Andrej Tarkovsky, based on Stanisław Lem's novel Solaris from 1961.
Solaris is a meditative psychodrama that takes place on a spacecraft in orbit around a planet called Solaris. The scientific work on space station has ended in a crisis. Psychologist Kris Kelvin travels to the station to evaluate and investigate the situation, but is soon haunted by the same type of hallucinations that have affected the other crew members.
Solaris became a great success. The film was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 1972 and won the Prix du Jury, the FIPRESCI Prize and nominated for the Golden Palm.

No. The 2002 version.

I went to see the new "Alien" movie last night.
Alien Covenant was a interesting movie. Waiting for the next one. This one has ties back to resurrection in a nasty way.

Turns out that's all I could do, My video card is not within spec, this needs at least a GTX 670, not a GTX 580, too little ram.

I watched Space 1999 as a kid growing up. Now it looks like Star Trek on Valium. Never saw UFO. Just a few YouTube episodes.
