No-name Guy asked: What's so scary about Trump? A little later, he said: If the government comes with a warrent (sic) to arrest me because I refuse to give up my AK-47, then I'll just go out in a hail of gunfire and you won't have to worry about me screwing things up for you anymore. Gary suggested: Perfect ad: Donald at a desk with the Staples "Easy" button. Snips of Donald saying easy as his solution to a problem. Push button. Fade to mushroom cloud. Mark responded with: And, are you really SO sure that is not the solution? No-name Guy, using this admittedly small sample of just two, I venture that the only thing scarier than Donald Trump is his support base! The answer, Mark, is YES. I am certain that that is not the solution. The fact that you would vote for someone who may think it is, is frightening to me and billions of people who inhabit this planet.

Just wonder .... The Donald insults a judge hearing his case on racial background claiming they can't be fair. Is he in court on Super Tuesday explaining why he isn't guilty of contempt of court? Should he be in court explaining that?!

OK so Super Tuesday is coming up so time for some fun and predictions. Crystal ball mode on: Trump is unstoppable. He's mopping the floor with everybody and there's no evidence to suggest this Tuesday will be any different. No amount of preparation will save anybody from getting anything but steamrolled. There's next-to-no-chance Trump will ever implode and as long as he's given the space to turn any conversation into a WWE shouting match (that's WWF for us older folk) he'll come out standing (and winning) every single time. Now for the logic diagram (crystal ball mode still on though): If Donald really does make it to June on top and goes up against Hillary... President Trump it is. If Donald really does make it to June on top and goes up against Bernie... I don't know, my crystal ball is failing me here. 50/50 as of right now. |

It was LBJ who did the hit. No, LHO was just the man they pointed the finger at. LBJ orchestrated the whole thing. I am certain of that, and most of history will certify that, if given a close enough look. We have enough evidence to support that claim, if not enough to convict. We do know the killer. And the motive. Why some of you continue to question it is still a mystery to me. "Learn from yesterday. Live for today. Hope for tomorrow." Albert Einstein "With cats." kittyman

Apologies for beating this dead horse again but I think it's really important. I honestly think this is a myth. I think I see why we all ("normal" people that is) rationalize it like that and it's somewhere between our inability to fully understand complex mental illnesses (or whatever PC label you want to call it) and our natural tendency to fall into cognitive dissonance. It's always about psychopathy and narcissism. Always. And yes "always" does include the odd outlier... but nowhere near as many as you'd think. Personally I want to call Trump a narcissist but apparently narcissists are mostly good at keeping things together. And apparently psychopaths are the one's that run their businesses to the ground. Also, an idiot is someone that's "slow". But when we use it on Trump what we really mean is he's a d*ck. Or an a*hole. So if Major Kong wakes up tomorrow with "absolute power" then sure, maybe somewhere down the line you get duped into getting a bit corrupted. But no matter how hard you try you'll still be batting for the Little Leagues. Trump on the other hand isn't just Major league, he's Babe Ruth. And he was born Babe Ruth. It's DNA, not some acquired knowledge or millions of hours at the batting cage. He's a Natural. Or to put it another way, just because you woke up with "absolute power" it doesn't mean you can snip out "inconvenient" bits of grey matter in your head. Empathy will still light up. Lying will never come naturally. Your ability to access every bit of history you ever learned and apply it to current situations will still function in a millisecond, nagging you. Apologies for the wall-of-text response to a harmless comment. I just used it as a stepping stone to go into my pet peeve. Sorry. |

The $64 billion question is 'does Trump really believe that tripe'? ROFL... you may have a point... But, the saying was, back in the stone age when I was a kid... The 64 thousand dollar question... it was a game show on very early TV.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl8h6GtF5Qg Forgive me for tacking some zeros onto it to cover 'inflation'... |

Kong they don't teach American History much here mate . Glenn, I didn't say 'American history'. I said 'World history in the Modern Era (1450-1950)'... There is a saying. 'Those who fail to learn the lessons of history are condemned to repeat its mistakes.' Manifest Destiny. Go research it. It will explain a LOT about the 'American' (USA) mindset, even TODAY. Note: the idea behind 'Manifest Destiny' is NOT exclusive to the USA. In the UK, I have heard it referred to as "the white man's burden". The SAME philosophy also contributed to the core of Hitler's 'Master Race' crap. Under Manifest Destiny, the 'British Anglo-Saxons' were seen as "God's Chosen People", tasked by God with spreading the following throughout the world: 1. Good Government (Constitutional Republicanism). 2. Economic Prosperity (Capitalism). and 3. Protestant Christianity. But anyway, Reginald Horsman, in his book "Race and Manifest Destiny: The Origins of American Racial Anglo-Saxonism", Harvard University Press, 1981, states things far more eloquently than I can. https://books.google.com/books/about/RACE_AND_MANIFEST_DESTINY.html?id=9TSc3iKP3ZkC This book was one of the textbooks in one of the upper-level history classes I took back in University. The ideas are still running around today. Globalism... Nation Building... blargh. Back on topic... Trump. Is Trump an idiot? No. Is Trump a clown? No. Is Trump a 'business failure'? No. Is Trump dangerous? YES!!!!!!!!! Why? Trump is a Populist. He tells people what they want to hear in order to get elected. Trump's message is quite nostalgic. He invokes days gone by. "Make America Great again!" America was great, once upon a time. Due to territorial expansion. See Manifest Destiny above... How can America be made Great again? More territorial expansion leading to more confirmation as "God's Chosen People"... The $64 billion question is 'does Trump really believe that tripe'? The common people in the USA that he is appealing to seem to. But, does Trump? If not, then he is just another garden-variety politician... No big deal, they ALL lie to get elected. But, if so.... DANGER, WILL ROBINSON... DANGER!!!! Another Hitler in the making?? |

And, like everybody else, things will change once he gets into the oval orifice. I'd like to think if he did win he would not win the congress and then a lot of the stuff he want's to do will be stopped . So if your gona vote for him at least cover your self's and vote the other side in to congress and then you'll have 2 years to see how much of a nutcase he is and if he's not as mad as he sounds then give him the congress when you have the 1/2 senate elections DON"T give him both the presidency and the congress. Absolute power corrupts his type of personality absolutely .

Kong they don't teach American History much here mate . The Liberals under John Howard I think it was dropped history from the curriculum and is now only taught as a elective subject in high school. History is not kind to the Liberals so I guess they figure if they can't teach there version of history then better to not teach it at all . When I was at school 35 years ago history was compulsory not now thou . The Liberals try to make Sir Robert Menzies there hero but all that -anker was is a right racist and dictator .He ran the country for 20 years from ww2 onwards Tony Abbotts hero and mentor so that should tell you a lot about Menzies :)

https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2016/02/26/david-duke-says-vote-against-trump-treason-white-heritage In what can only be called a formal endorsement, despite a claim that it is not, former, grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan and prominent white supremacist David Duke has thrown his full support behind Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

I believe that he does....and more certainly than any other candidate. msattler... That belief has been the cornerstone of Trump types throughout history. Hopefully you, and not Trump, is correct. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. --- George Santayana Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. --- Lord Acton |

It was LBJ who did the hit. You have your TLAs confused, it was LHO. Wish I knew what this has to do with the topic at hand. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

He only begins to get into it about 6 minutes in. And that is when the plot thickened. And you know there are many stories about it. I happen to be one of few that know the whole of it. I have posted about all I know. Few still believe me. It was LBJ who did the hit. "Learn from yesterday. Live for today. Hope for tomorrow." Albert Einstein "With cats." kittyman

And furthermore, I believe that Trump intends to do what he says. The reality of whether he can do that or not remains an open topic. But, we elect a president upon their promises. Always have. JFK was killed for his. The remarks he made in 1961 so shocked some that his demise was immediately placed in action. I know, and if only you would acknowledge that, my purpose might be served. Ah, Donald "42" Trump. He has the universal answer to everything. And, are you really SO sure that is not the solution? "Learn from yesterday. Live for today. Hope for tomorrow." Albert Einstein "With cats." kittyman
