nothing has really changed for the common person in 8 years and we just need some sort of change.

Running into the same responses. From people who have never voted, or never admitted to voting, for a Republican. Including former colleagues in Liberal Academia.

What sort of change for the good is Trump going to bring?

Gordon...

One can only hope, regarding the next President.

Unfortunately... I believe most persons, with a realistic chance of becoming a National Leader. To be bums, corrupt, and snake oil salespersons.

Including Dangerous Trump and Fraud Hillary.

Angry Old White Imbeciles are on the verge of having a final Death Blow Stroke,
thinking that a Female could become POTUS.
The same AOWIs blame their mother's for everything that went wrong in their lives.
Their Mothers smoked, their Mothers didn't satisfy their Fathers,
Daddy had to find solace with Hollywood starlets and take junior along for the ride.

For all the Angry Old White Men there is a "Pot of Gold" at the end of the Rainbow. It's called DEATH, and it makes all happy, and you less cranky. A Win Win for all.

And there do seem to be quite a few "Angry Old White Imbeciles" around here so I hope that you have your flack jacket on. ;-)

Cheers.

Another very stupid Democrat being reported by the stupid media:

Jeb Bush's top adviser, Sally Bradshaw, has left the Republican Party to become an independent, and says if the presidential race in Florida is close, she'll vote for Hillary Clinton.

Bradshaw, who's been close to the former Florida governor for decades and was senior adviser to his 2016 campaign, officially switched her registration to unaffiliated. She told CNN's Jamie Gangel in an email interview that the GOP is "at a crossroads and have nominated a total narcissist -- a misogynist -- a bigot."

"This is a time when country has to take priority over political parties. Donald Trump cannot be elected president," Bradshaw said.

Who will stop the stupid Left and their ...ist attacks on Drumpf?
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

Well, the bailouts under Drumpf wouldn't go to the car companies and banks, they would go to real estate developers who got hurt by the inflated bubble property values going down.

As to EMTALA and PPACA, you are suggesting that Obama cut spending?! Sounds like the man is a trickle down republican!

What worries me about Drumpf is he is so stupid he well could so upset the military that the USA would have its first coup.

As to those mandated by law subprime loans ... look up the CRA.

It is the economy. The last time we were in full blown expansion the USA had a project that it was working on. RFK put them on that project. Shooting for a science goal that you aren't quite sure you can do is a fantastic motivation.

Sorry, but if you think any of them even come close to a socialist besides a small number such as Sanders or Warren, then you wouldn't know a socialist if a socialist jumped up and bit you on the nose. Obama has been a pro-corporatist neo-liberal and the only changes have been (pretty much):

1) More drone strikes.
2) Further reduction of our liberties as begun by Bush era Patriot Act,
3) Social issue: gay marriage. Less discrimination is nice, but by far not the most important issue.
4) Health care. Do noy forget Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act (EMTALA), which passed under Reagan. This meant you had to put your taxes to paying for emergency treatment of those who could not afford it. You want to go back to letting your taxes go to that? As I understand it, ACA strongly influenced by an idea of Nixon, the right-wing think tank CATO Institute and Mitt Romney. Did not push for a more leftist approach to health care reform even though Dems had a majority in both the House and Senate.

And in all this time, the biggest issue has veen barely touched. The very source of our livelihoods. Main Street Economy still sucks Wage stagnation and I'm not just talking about minimum wage. Wall Street usually doing fine. They took the biggest risks and got bailed out. Several them made money by betting on us failing. Offer a sub-prime mortgage that the buyer should have known better than to sign up for, but would never have even had the chance if not offered. Speculators betting on mortgage defaults and winning. Bail out (started under Bush and continued under Obama) money going to bonuses for CEOs. And how many went to jail? Maybe one? Bernie Made-off.

If you can't tell me why my points are wrong ...
If you can't tell me wby the points I've raised of a reasonable summary of the Obama era are basically left when I say it is center-right, pro-corporatist, somewhat hawkish neo-liberal ... .

And don't forget, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" was Bill Clinton's first act (less discrimination, again, nice), but he was elected on "It's the Economy, Stupid". So was Obama. It hasn't helped. Hillary Clinton would be as bad or worse. But there's NO reason to believe The Donald when he says "I hate tp say it, but I used to be one of The Establishment. but I've switched" and that he's really going to help.
Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes.

I'll agree with that reporter, that the US does need a change, but that I don't see Trump as the answer, he's much too dangerous.

Liberal LA Times Daily Poll, as of July 31st. After DNC Convention.

Hillary Clinton 42.1% Donald Trump 46.2%

http://www.latimes.com/politics/

Hmmmm

CBS poll July 31st. After DNC Convention.
Clinton 47%, Trump 41%

Compared to previous CBS poll July 24th. After GOP Convention.
Clinton 43%, Trump 44%.

edit] 538 -Election Update: Clinton’s Bounce Appears Bigger Than Trump’s

Of course.

Just making this point about polls:

The LA Times Poll and the CBS Poll, are at complete variance with each other.

Since none of the reputable, experienced, and correct in the past 'experts', predicted Trump would... Shows they are living in a self-imposed fantasy world, and have no understanding

The Pollster's are also not understanding the general mood of the American people. IE: Who will really vote, who will really not vote, and who is lying regarding their pick.

Believe I posted this before: Don't believe the polls. And more importantly: Don't believe the 'Exit Polls' on Election day.

There are also a couple of national tracking polls that contain some post-convention data, and they aren’t as strong for Clinton so far. The USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times tracking poll, which has generally shown favorable results for Trump, still shows Trump ahead by 4 percentage points, although Clinton has recovered slightly from a 7-point deficit a few days ago. Note, however, that the USC poll uses a week-long field period, so only about half of its interviews came after the DNC.
