Greetings,

I will always buy and use ASUS MoBos. I just ordered a Sabertooth Z97 MK 2 yesterday and will see it tomorrow. I tried an Intel MoBo many, many years ago and could not get it and replacements to work. I went back to ASUS and have not looked back.

Keep on BOINCing...! :)

Lately I've have always been a fan of Asus branded boards. I purchased a second Z97-A board and was not impressed by the build quality. I have heard of motherboards coming warped, but this one was a first for me. I installed it and its working, but not sure if there will be problems in the future. I've looked into EVGA, Gigabyte, MSI and they all have their mixed reviews. What Z97 SLI board would you buy if you were in the market to get one? I just need a solid no frills board, that will run two 980tis for Seti.

I only used Asus boards for years, but gave up on them back in '08 or '09. When I had massive issues with their LGA775 boards. I've gone with Gigabyte boards since then & have not had any issues. I recently got an ASRock Q1900-ITX. Which I was more impressed with than other ASRock boards I have seen in the past.

I've always preferred Asus myself but ASRock is a good second choice. If I recall correctly, ASRock began as a bunch of Asus engineers starting their own company.
