Geeze, it's like playing the lottery, or maybe Vegas around here... :-p Just wish for newbie wingmen. The validators always award very high credit to new crunchers. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Got 11 more today. I had an i7 4790S crunch an AP file for 21 hours, now waiting on my wingman: ap_09fe18aa_B0_P0_00068_20180221_21285.wu i7- 4790S isn't exactly a lightweight processor. I'm curious as to the credit outcome. |

21hrs? :-O Sounds like your CPU is over committed as you should've had that done task in at least half that time (should I tell you that my 3.4GHz i5's do them in around 5hrs?). [edit] 4 fresh and 1 resend greeted me here this morning. Cheers. |

Was a day and half to crunch been going 1 hr 55 mins and time left 15 hrs, so me thinks 7 hrs or less to complete it.. Down to 13 hrs :) |

Got 11 more today. You are CPU time on the task was just over 17 hours yet the run-time was over 21 hours |

Its definitely an outlier for this processor. I don't have another AP CPU file on record to compare it to, but my standard SETI@home v8 v8.00 windows_intelx86 files process in about 3 hours on this system.. I've another AP on a different system (which does nothing but crunch 24/7) running a Xeon 5440 that has been crunching an AP file now for 3 + days. It should finish up in a couple of hours. I'll let you know. |

Its definitely an outlier for this processor. I don't have another AP CPU file on record to compare it to, but my standard SETI@home v8 v8.00 Even your SETI@home v8 CPU workunits are taking far too long to complete and the difference between CPU time and actual run time for them is huge, the difference should only be a few minutes not an hour or more (those tasks should take you around half that time to complete and I do them in less than 50mins). Also looking at a couple of your other rigs shows that they are also over committed. Are you reserving a CPU core for each running GPU task or are you running some background app that is sucking up you CPU resources? Cheers. |

Down to 6 hrs left just under 3 hrs of crunching :) not bad for a small i5 lappy 3 hrs 53 mins to do a AP hope that's good ? |

Down to 6 hrs left just under 3 hrs of crunching :) not bad for a small i5 lappy That was a GPU task and I'm not familiar with the performance of a GT 540m so I couldn't say if it was good or not, but it also falls just outside the 10% qualifying mark so you'll live on high returns for them a while longer. ;-) Cheers. |

Down to 6 hrs left just under 3 hrs of crunching :) not bad for a small i5 lappy Wingo I haven't heard about falling outside the qualifying. Could you please explain what you mean by it folder sign the 10% qualifying mark. I am aware about you have to return a certain number of tasks for the run-time corresponds more within reason to how long the task will actually run |

.... I'm not to sure if I'll explain this right, but I'll have a go at it until Richard or someone else chimes in. Your estimated run times will not settle down for AP's until you have completed 10 (or is it 11?) of them with 10% or less blanking (over 10% don't count) which is why people like being wingmates to these rigs that havn't established their proper APR's yet as they pay near what we use to get before CreditNew was introduced instead of the 40-45% of we get now for them (mind you we use to get paid the equivalent amount of credit doing MB's over the same time, though we'd do more of them). Cheers. |
