Message 1902737 - Posted: 24 Nov 2017, 18:51:00 UTC - in response to Message 1902560.

Only comment I wish to make at this point is that unfortunately for us in Europe, very often the splitting of AP WUs begins when it is night for us.
So it is difficult to implement any optimisation procedure to get a higher share of APs.

Anyway, I can live with it and I continue to sleep well, but I wanted to write this comment since long and for some reason I did it today.
It is not a pledge. If they schedule it this way, there is a good reason and there is no reason to change, or even to just think to change.

So lucky you in USA and Australia, think about how fortunate you are to live in the right time zone! :-)

Sleepy
I use the three location strategy, I have Home on each machine to request AP and MB tasks, Work to Request only AP and School only MB. When cache has filled to the limit on Home, I switch to Work location, then monitor every 12 hours or so.

With 2 rigs running 24/7 I snagged a max of 74 APs during the large run last week.

Just a suggestion.

I got 47 on the 26th. Not sure if that was from one batch of more. It is hard for me to tell when one batch begins and another ends. There was a definite break from the 25th to the 26th however.

Very nice runs lately, cache has been averaging between 90 and 100 for the last 72 hours. No flood but steady replenishment for 2 crunchers...........

There maybe very little MB work going around, but I have been able to snag 32 36 AP's so far since the outrage.

Cheers.

Got the following warning from Bitdefender this afternoon. Never had an issue before. False positive or is there an issue?

The application boinc.exe accesses a web resource http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/download_fanout/astropulse_7.10_windows_intelx86__opencl_nvidia_100.exe that has been detected as infected. Virus name: Cloud.Malware.11875uW@bqaTN8ai. The web resource has been successfully blocked

It's a false positive and you should exclude your BOINC folders from being scanned as this behaviour is not unusual for a lot of antivirus products. ;-)

Cheers.
