I've given up chasing AP tasks. My computer will mostly stay shut down, until a reliable flow of AP tasks is back. Not that I believe that will ever happen again....

Sorry to see you leave. I guess there will be more for the people that are wanting them. All the best with your future endeavours

I'm not leaving, just as I said "My computer will mostly stay shut down..."
I will still have my Android device running though, all the time.

Apologies for misunderstanding what you meant

It seems that these days as soon as I complete a batch of AP work a new batch is being split.

Cheers.

Too few, too far apart.
Splitting of this batch is soon over, and I will shut down again.
I crunch them almost as fast as I can get them.
Got around 25 AP's this run. Could be a couple more before it's over.

Edit: 28 now.
Edit2: 31 now.

My HTPC seems to be doing an OK job of keeping a good supply on hand.

Arrg, Boinc keeps realizing I've made changes to the r2742.cl file and downloads the original version. Does anyone know what lines to add to the app_config.xml to get Boinc to use my changed version?

It's probably the checksum that is detecting it. Try updating that.

This file is locked by the number of bytes and a file signature. The question is if I change the number of bytes to match the change in size (if any) and change the <signature_required/> tag to <signature_required>0</signature_required>, will Boinc ignore the file signature and use the changed file?
... and still I fear, and still I dare not laugh at the Mad Man!

Yep, wondered why the new Darksider system was slow to respond to mouse clicks on the Manager. Then noticed an AP being run. Oh. First AP's on that system. Nice to know the app_info was configured correctly. Still think the AVX linux app is the one to use based on the one completed task so far. I'll have to see what's available.

There was earlier. One of those '08 datasets had some uncrunched APs hiding in it.
The kitties snagged 21 of them.

I looked as soon as I saw your post. Must have been a very short split session. They were dormant again when I looked. I got nothing. I haven't seen hide nor hair of any AP gpu tasks in over a week. I got one SSE task a couple days ago on Pipsqueek. A resend. Doesn't look like the APs are going to help the contest averages this year unlike last year.

Another '08 dataset splitting with some hidden APs coming out.
The kitties snagged 3 so far.
