Message 1812253 - Posted: 24 Aug 2016, 18:59:14 UTC

Well, once again, an observation of mine has been repeated. When I saw there were tapes yesterday and they were being split, I started hammering the update button as often as I was allowed. I picked up 6 over the course of two hours.

Went to bed, woke up.. I have 20+. It seems to do better when you just leave it alone. Almost reminds me of changing the outcome by checking it.

They keep coming, 58 across 3 boxes. That is the best I've done in a very long time.

So far, I've obtained 23 fresh ones on my laptop, plus a re-send. It's raining, it's pouring...

that has been my experience as well. Hammering the server for new work seem to be a bad plan.

Almost like the Scheduler says "Up yours, buddy, you'll get some when I want to give you some, and not one minute sooner". Or so it seems.....

And the best part, a lot of them are 100% blanked, cruched in few seconds and creditscrew gives about 460 credits for them. LOL

Crap, I thought you guys were just suffering from bad luck with a large amount of B3_P1s or B6_P0s. My cache was looking like it would last a few more days, and it is empty already. Looked in the message log..

2016-08-27 04:11:38 SETI@home Reporting 37 completed tasks, requesting new tasks

Then looked at the task list, and every single one of them were 100% blanked, from several different tapes and of all channels.

Well then. I wasn't fortunate enough to get several hundred credits for any of them like some of you were though.. they all provided the typical standard amount of generally between 0.03 and 0.25cr.

Wow, I just burned thru my last 21 Aps on one box, all of them 100% blanked. They must have pointed the receiver at the radar to get that.

Don't look now but a few are being split. The trick is to snag some.

The SSP says they are still being split but no joy for me, yet.
