Will this clear itself? Or how do I fix it?
I thought, Lunatics was supposed to run these til they were gone - they are from my initial Boinc/SETI install on this new Host (Stock apps )
This has Dampened my Cache allowance by 45

Thanks

Lunatics will not stop tasks "timing out" - the tasks that have been aborted were due to them passing their deadlines, thus BOINC aborted them.
There would appear to be something strange with one of your machines, it has one GPU thus should have only 200 "tasks in progress", but is showing 257. Did you change the hardware on this computer? Did you disable any internal (Intel) GPU processing?

Right rob,

The i7 is a HT quad x 8 Threads(8 logical cores)=8 processors
My Normal full cache complement is 319
The odd number is thanks to an attempt at Android on my incapable RAZR HD
I uninstalled Boinc on my phone but can't figure out how to lose the Boinc entry.
Yes I initially enabled the iGD but disabled it right away, as there were so many conflicts with the mixed app versions, both Stock and 1st Lunatics; basically a discordance that required some more study and Config on my part.
So I immediately re-installed Boinc with adjusted Preferences, followed by a redo with Lunatics as well.

But what I'm after here is a way to clear these Aborts Errors, since they are a done deal and gone; and get back to business. (I would have so happily run the tasks; didn't know they were even there! Apologies to wingmen; I grumble about this too. But for the life of me don't know how to stop it; surely that's all of them (67 now).

I've had success running Diag Flags of State_debug and State_file-debug to clear up Config and hardware changes - with good compliance in most cases.

But this particular Error seems obstinate.

Any ideas or knowledge how to fix it?

[Edit]> I have determined that the cache formula is 25 Tasks per core + 100 per GPU. So, once I lose the Android entry, should have a 300 complement.

First a few things about caches.
They are per-computer, not per-user.
The maximum number of tasks per computer is based on a very simple formula - add together the number of CPUs in use (not the number of cores) and the number of GPUs in use, then multiply that by 100.

For your i7 based system score 1 for the i7, 1 for the internal GPU (if you are using it) and one for each additional GPU. Giving the computer using both iGPU & added GPU a total cache possible of 300 tasks, reducing to 200 when you stopped using the iGPU.

Your Android phone would have scored 1. Thus a maximum cache of 100.

Now you've done two things, first removed the phone. As it is no longer processing it will never report completed tasks, so they will be automatically reported as "abandoned, timed out" or "abandoned, not completed in time". There is nothing you can do about those tasks.

Now to the second action - you have disabled the iGPU, tasks assigned to this will be abandoned, due to lack of processing resource. If they have not been assigned to another computer you might get them back if you re-start processing on the iGPU. Otherwise they are lost to you. The re-sending is a server side action, and if it is turned off, then there is nothing you can do about them.
Do not try to manually re-assign them to your CPU or other GPU, this will cause more problems and give you an even bigger headache.

Sorry I can't help you in removing the residual of BOINC from your phone, as phones are not designed to run at full power for extended periods of time.

I'm with you on most stuff.

Have tried Merging Computers by Name(Domain) so I can officially Retire the original jbird from 2002 with nothing but Classic Screensaver WUs - and defunct since 2009.
I've tried changing venues to None on both - no luck. Changed back to Home for now. Still nothing.

The Android simply doesn't work on my dual core RAZR HD.
When I trade up to a Quad Core Droid Turbo next week - different story.

But my main objection right now, is clearing these Abort Errors and getting my Cache back to 300 (could care less about the 19) but the Errors are a match for this math. Will they go away after the Outage and DB scrub Tuesday?

Merging is very hit and miss - if you look at my list of computers you will see it goes back to 2003, but I have two earlier machines running under Classic which I can't gain access to, one of them goes back to October/November 1999.

Your pile of abort errors will eventually vanish as the tasks are processed by others.

As for getting your cache back to 300, why be obsessed by cache size, all it mean is if don't process them in time you will get more abort errors.
