First day of vacation, and I am a wreck.....

My little Bandit kitty kept me up all night. Was getting a bit concerned.
Meowing on and off for all hours. Making some of them spooky meows that make you wonder what the heck is going on with kitty. If you have cats, you have heard them really strange meows from time to time. She had a urinary tract infection many years ago, and it seemed like something akin to that might have been going on again.
Thought I might have to take her to the vet this morning, but she seems to have settled down and has just been snoozing all day. Keeping an eye on Bandit.

So, with a couple of hours of actual sleep, I got up this morning and decided to tackle my daily driver which has been down for several days. Thought it was the hard drive, but it would appear that in the heat a few days ago, the bios got tangled up and would not recognize the SATA ports that the HD is on.
After hours of mucking about, trying this and that, I finally yanked the backup battery and gave it about 10 minutes. Put it all back together and the kitty gods were good to me. All back up and running for the moment.

Off to the shop in a bit to wrench on Toothless to do the cooling system overhaul. All new rubber hoses and a heater core. Hope it goes smoothly.

Then probably off to do a bit of lawn mowing for Lori. Nice break in the weather today....much cooling and more comfortable. Good day to get that task out of the way, as it's warming back up later in the week.

The project will probably still be in the outage when I get back.
Hope that goes smoothly today as well.

Had a good day.........
Went to the shop to work on Toothless. Between my mechanic and myself, we got the heater hoses, the radiator hoses, and the heater core all exchanged for new in a little less than 1-1/2 hours...beat book time real well.
I like working with him, because he appreciates the fact that I am a hands on guy with cars and can help him instead of just asking questions and being in the way. Cost me $80.00....cheap deal. Not many mechanics in this day and age will even LOOK at your car for that much.

Then went over and got my lawn mowing done for Lori...not bad, was a nice day, cool breeze, and it went quickly.

Then, to cap it off, Lori and I went out to see Terminator Genisys....loved it.

Tomorrow, I might get my OWN lawn mowing underway....and just might go off to the local boneyard to see what they might have taken in since the last time I purveyed their inventory. Been a junkyard hunter there for some 40 years....it's a guy thingy, I guess. One of the few still in business where a guy can walk in and look around. Too many DNR and insurance regs these days that don't want an honest man looking around for parts on the cheap.

Station 55, (NW Quadrant) in the industrial park, down the street from where I work, also has a training facility, and the city Haz-Mat unit.

Every once in a while I just want to pick up dukes with somebody.
And I should not do that here, but the truth is, all those I really wish to have it out now are now in prison for life.

My anger and angst has subsided a lot as I continue to age.

But I have to put down the keyboard and get out of attack mode more often as I have aged, because I do see the havoc I have caused in the past.

You did not know me in the past, carried a .38 in my boot at all times. Had some bad dealings with people that, once met, I knew were nothing I should have gone on with. NOT exactly the mafia, but once you were in, it was hell to get out, because they never trusted you again, and blamed you for everything that went wrong with them. And as has recently occured, I have to wonder if one day one of them will not be released and come looking for me.

This whole distrust of others and fear has come to light here on Seti, and I am sorry for it, because the Seti community does not deserve that pain, fear, or anger. It is not yours to bear, but as a member, I share it with you.

I am doing my best, in light of my past, that you can trust me to say that there are things which you are not privy to, nor can I share with you.
1975 bank robbery..........all I can give you.
If I share it, all bets are lost, and probably my life as well.

My life these days is divided between Lori, kitties, and Seti.
I pay attention to all, equally divided as my mind allows.

And, if I suddenly disappear................do not immediately panic.
I may have to go into hiding, under witness protection. There are some legal procedings that are troubling me at present. The 'legal technicalities' bit.
And if they go the wrong way, and things go south, I am going to have to disappear for a while. Until it's settled.
