...not forgetting of course there have been very, very few new AP tasks generated in the last couple of months :-( Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

A couple of small batches of APs have been split today but I have failed to snag any. |

A couple of small batches of APs have been split today but I have failed to snag any. Were new AP actually generated or were the splitters just going over already split data to mark the channel as done for AP? SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours ![]() |

Any news on the Astropulse database? Minor correction to this.. The real AP DB is offline and being fixed in the background. A new, empty DB was created temporarily so that we could still continue crunching AP WUs. Once the real/main one is fixed, this temporary one will be merged with it, and then the main one will be brought back to being live and online. Any news on the Astropulse database? Indeed. I should have said "An AP database has been online". It was estimated that "if everything went as planned" the main db would be ready to be put back into service, but since we have not heard anything and it looks like nothing has happened. I would imagine everything did not go as planned & they may have had to restart the processes cleaning up the old db. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours ![]() |

Ready-to-send buffer is staying full, however splitter output has dropped off slightly. Hopefully we don't get a shorty storm till the splitters pickup again. Grant Darwin NT |

The production speed of those AP splitters are downright pathetic now. Not much coming out at all. It is the best we have seen in over a week. |

*leans back in chair and rubs belly* That was a feast.. and there's still more to be had! First time I've gotten this message before: 2015-06-24 05:43:48 SETI@home Message from server: This computer has reached a limit on tasks in progress (100 for CPU-only) app details: Number of tasks today 113 There was a spate of B3_P1s mixed-in there. Did some cache shuffling with suspending things to get those cleared-out. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Lucky you. Sorry to hear that Mike. Actually, this batch confirmed a theory I've had. in my machines with both CPU and GPU crunching 200 for 1 machine 80 for another in my machines with only GPU crunching 20 APs and yes I have a mix of MB and APs. If I set only to APs, I actually get less work. I always thought the server punished me for not crunching on the CPU , now I see it in action |
