Message 1690515 - Posted: 12 Jun 2015, 15:32:29 UTC - in response to Message 1690505.

Wow, I forgot that I joined on May 20th 2009.

Happy anniversary to you all.

Mike

I think you meant May 20th 1999... :)

An interesting stat for the Class of 1999-05-20, of the 2,236 users
registered that Day, 350 are still banging away... :)

Out of my class of 1999-09-11 with 2865 users. Only about 400 were returning results in 2004. Then 272 moved over to BOINC. With about 50 still being active today. :/

The biggest drop in users for my class was in 2003. Of those that stopped SETI@home after moving over to BOINC. Most look to have stopped BOINC altogether. I imagine they lost interest, or could not longer justify the cost of the electric.
It would be nice if we still had the class stats on here since BOINC started to look at. As it would be interesting to see how many users from the old days are still active with BOINC.

Hmmm... It's that time again. Fired up my original cruncher just for the anniversary. Only use it on special occasions. It takes 10 to 14 days for one work unit now. Just not worth it to crunch.

Thanks Hal. My class had 1792 people sing up that day. I started at the bottoma and worked up and it took until #310 to finf and active cruncher. And there are many who dont crunch in between.

Always seem to be late to these celebrations; I hope not "fashionably" late!

Congratulations to all! Stalwart comrades and all that stuff

I am happy to be amongst all you crunchers
