The SSL padlock icon is not green at the account login url https://setiathome.berkeley.edu//login_form.php?next_url=home.php. This occurs in Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 and Mozilla Firefox 38.0.5.

The padlock is green only in Internet browsers Comodo Dragon and Whitehat Aviator.

I am using Windows 8.1 Standard edition not Windows 8.1 Pro.

I'm using IE 11, Chrome v43, Firefox v37, and Opera v29. None of them are showing the same issue you're talking about with certificates.

You can always import the certificate to your machine.

No need to debunk him, it's true, Seti's own certificate isn't perceived to be completely secure by some browsers.

Apropos, this only happens at the individual forums and threads, it doesn't happen in indexes:

Wasn't trying to. I merely gave feedback as to what I see. I don't see a red exclamation mark over the padlock icon as you show in your screen shot, but I do see "This website does not supply ownership information." when I examine the certificate.

OpenSSL Patches Multiple Vulnerabilities
06/12/2015 11:42 AM EDT

Original release date: June 12, 2015
OpenSSL has released updates addressing multiple vulnerabilities, one of which allows a remote attacker to downgrade vulnerable TLS connections to 512-bit export-grade cryptography—an attack known as Logjam (CVE-2015-4000). Exploitation of some of these vulnerabilities could allow the attacker to read and modify data passed over the connection.

Updates available include:

OpenSSL 1.0.2b for 1.0.2 users
OpenSSL 1.0.1n for 1.0.1 users
OpenSSL 1.0.0s for 1.0.0d (and below) users
OpenSSL 0.9.8zg for 0.9.8r (and below) users
Users and administrators are encouraged to review the OpenSSL Security Advisory and apply the necessary updates.
