I will try ticking a box in the nVidia Control Panel for automatic updates. ..but he specified a specific driver (344) for a reason, no? Auto updates will only get you a newer version that may cause you issues... |

Bluestar don't set it to Auto update the driver it stuffs up more often than it works and as other have said do a CLEAN INSTALL there is a check box that you will see that says do a clean install . Always do the video drivers as a clean install |

Glenn, after ticking the box, checking with it again, it now gives a datestamp for the last update checkup. The settings are having two tabs, or boxes, the first one is Updates, which is empty, the next one is Settings, which when ticked there, makes me choose how often an automatic update should be done. I did not notice the datestamp until now, but I may untick it again and make a note when it last checked. If I check in again in a couple of days and the datestamp has changed with my note (if it is still visible) I will rather leave the tick box unchecked as it previously was. For now I do not think the problem is with the driver, although I may perhaps not be having the most recent one. |
