Dog forgets all about risk of drowning in a marsh as soon as drone dangles a sausage
The drone pilot deftly waggled the banger in front of Millie and, sure enough, she followed to higher ground.

Only to run off again. Like we said, dogs aren't that smart. However, away from the danger of the marsh, she glimpsed a familiar face – owners father – and dived into his arms.

Sorry Cat people...
Dog owners are half as likely to develop a disability in older age
Older adults who own a dog have a much lower risk of cognitive and physical disabilities, but those who own a cat don’t have the same benefit.

Pet dogs really do grieve the deaths of other dogs they live with.

Nearly all dogs that lose a "companion" dog from the same household show behaviours like going off their food and seeking more human attention

Louisville resident adopts 'rescue pit bull'

This time last year, Arlo was one of almost 90 dogs involved in a dog fighting ring in New York.

"People should throw the stigma out the window," Seale said. "If you're going to own any dog really, you need to take into consideration the breed and the instincts and the drive of the animal. As far as them being bad animals naturally, that's just not true at all."

World’s tallest dog confirmed as Zeus the Great Dane
Zeus, a two-year-old grey and brown American Great Dane from Bedford, Texas, USA, has broken a "paw-some" record.

Standing at 1.046 metres (3 ft 5.18 in), the gentle giant has been confirmed as the tallest dog living (male) in the world.

This dog owner spent $400 to find out why his dog was limping only to learn he was copying him out of sympathy.

O’Hare Airport’s Beagles Are The Best In The Biz At Sniffing Out Illegal Food

Bettie’s a dog with a job at O’Hare Airport — a cute and cuddly authority who sniffs out people illegally bringing produce and animal products to the United States.

It’s a key job at O’Hare, one of the busiest airports in the world. And Bettie’s one of the best: She’s helped officials make more than 3,500 seizures since July 2021, the second-most among airport K9s in the United States, according to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

My dog companion of the last two years passed away last week. She was a nine year old Australian Shepherd that I adopted from a pet rescue organization here in central Florida. She was the best behaved dog I have ever had. Her previous owner had recently died leaving Savannah and two other pets behind. [/img]
