I should get the camera out and take a couple of updated shots of dog as she's just turned 2.

Cheers.

My dog Penny is turning three in February but she still acts like a puppy. I still can't figure out her reaction to other people in a power chair. When anyone else in a power chair or electric scooter rolls by my house she barks her angry bark until they have passed out of sight. She even growls lowly at mine when I am backing up. Maybe the motors emit a high frequency sound that hurts her ears. Never the less she is my best friend and I'm so glad I got her.

Dog that smiles on command goes viral
CHICAGO — Anyone with kids knows how hard it is to get everyone to smile for a picture. But this dog will show them how it’s done.

A five-month-old puppy named Herbert smiles on command. Facebook user Amanda Robles posted a video that shows the dog flashing a big smile when she says “cheese.”

Her post has garnered 12 million views and More than 350,000 shares since Saturday. In another Facebook post, Robles said Herbert will be available for adoption at PAWS Chicago.

“[H]e’s such a sweet boy and always wants to sleep in your lap,” Robles wrote. [N]ow that he made u [sic] laugh, help find him a home!”

Watch the viral star showcase his pearly whites in the video above.

Thank you Blurf. This should also be posted in the Cats thread too.
I purchased a Rose Tree today to be planted between Ruta, her brother Latte and Ziggy the cat's graves.
Once that is done, it will be a daily reminder of the Love they gave me. Not that it is needed.

It is with great sadness I have to announce that Abigail has passed away. She was fine Friday night and was great with my friend and her kids but started violently vomiting at 2am or so. Brought her to the vet this afternoon. It was determined she had a tumor bleeding into itself that was wrapped around the spleen and most likely liver. Surgery would've been extremely high-risk and there was a strong chance it would've returned. The direction to take was clear. We are devastated but she was a tough girl who endured a lot in her 9-year life (would've been 10 in July). Thank you for all your support and love.

We love you forever Abby-kiss Isabella for us!

Condolences to Uli and Blurf on the passing of their beloved companions.
I know how hard it is, especially as I am currently helping my Tigger kitty fight her own healing battle, and her outcome is yet unknown.

Peace be with you, and may your fond memories console and sustain you.

Thx Ang...means a great deal for all the support we've had here.

Uli, we have a flagpole I had installed in our front yard 2 years ago. In the spring I'm considering making a garden around it and interning the ashes of our girls.

Uli, we have a flagpole I had installed in our front yard 2 years ago. In the spring I'm considering making a garden around it and interning the ashes of our girls.

My kitties are interred way out back in my yard, underneath a willow sapling that I envision one day to be a massive tree in tribute to them.
Squirrel is buried there, and this spring I may finally find the strength to inter the original Tigger's ashes there as well.

I fear I may have to find a spot there for Tigger II, as she is not doing as well as I hope.

Squirrel passed a couple of years ago, and I go back to the end of the yard to talk with her still.

Never forgotten.

Picked up Abby's ashes today. They put them in a sealed plastic baggie in a red velvet bag. We also got a plaster cast of her pawprint and a lock of her hair. Tough afternoon but she's home where she belongs
