Message 1677840 - Posted: 10 May 2015, 19:10:48 UTC - in response to Message 1677833.

Sturgeon is the biggest threat to England's way of life since Hitler in 1939.

Thank you for reminding me to take my passport when I visit Glasgow next week (20-22 May). There'll be pictures in the Cafe when I get back - if I get back ;)

Did he really just compare Sturgeon to Hitler????

Yep & he'd much rather an England (funny that - many say England when they mean the union) run by People such as these

I wonder if that should read, "The biggest threat to Scotland's......" but understand your point though. I don't see though how a very leftish SNP is going to turn Scotland around for the good?

..."For one thing, telling the candidates apart. To American eyes and ears David Cameron, Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg and even Nigel Farage had the same accents, same suits, same gestures - four British Mitt Romneys."
Hilarious :-)

Perhaps I should look-up on Bay to see if there are any old WW1 wizz-bangs for sale, just in case this all turns into, "Trench warfare" between Holyrood and Westminster.

What price austerity? Cutting Welfare & other benefits to reduce the deficit & get Britain back in the black...

...Yet there is money in the kitty for this?

We may all be laughing/smiling at our little quips here, unfortunately, the next 5 years are going to be hellish compared to the previous 5!

Every ousted MP can claim redundancy package - and Ed Balls is entitled to £88,000 payout.

Of course, they're going to be needed when the Union goes pear-shaped & the Yanks think about invading "for our protection" :-)

Fathers beware, the Yanks are coming so lock-up your daughters!!

Oh yes, the next five years are going to be very interesting and not just for the UK, no but for the whole world too. Another big war coming, not necessarily so, but possible....just potentially more of this recession or even worse.

Don't a Free People have a right not to vote?

Yes you do , however by doing so your not a citizen . Your voice means nothing .Compulsory voting still allows you to ,not vote !, but allows you to at least register that you don't like any of them .

It's called a Donkey vote !!

You may all so pay a small fine if you don't vote .

You can also fall off the register by moving to a different area and do not register there .

Your question assumes that it's back in the dark ages or something.

That argument is not a reason not to have compulasary voting as you still have choices your rights have not been taken away .

It is not compulsory to register , can't be fined , you have choice .

The Americans don't get that part .
