Osters
Assuming from context that you meant oysters. Otherwise, my response is Sunbeams.

Oster and Sunbeam are brands of small kitchen appliances... or used to be.

I was thinking shellfish. Like these Imperial osters.

Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in nearly 1,400 communities throughout the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit habitat.org.

The series follows the exploits of Ryo Saber, a "sweeper" who is always found chasing beautiful girls and a private detective who works to rid Tokyo of crime, along with his associate or partner, Hideyuki Makimura. Their "City Hunter" business is an underground jack-of-all-trades operation, contacted by writing the letters "XYZ" on a blackboard at Shinjuku Station.

Crunchy was several hours late in his entry - several more had been posted after the one he responded to, so he owes everyone a few drinks.

The rules of the Word Link thread clearly state that all comments or explanations should be posted here, not there.

<slow clap for attempted explanation wiggle-out>

I believe it has to be an English word.

:)

I love English. Not because it is better than any other language but because like many other languages it is a living hybrid.

Many of our words are germanic, french, latinium... even a few ancient greek, arabic, persian, hindi and the odd chinese and african word.

I do agree that forum should be in general english or at least words should be easily discoverable. Though I would never hold to that as there are billions who do not speak english well and why deny them the joy of joining SETI or BOINC.

Anyway dandelions are weeds in england but they have big french \ latin lions teeth ;) ~

Interesting confluence. The last three entries at Einstein were ham > over-acting > Shatner.

Playboy magazine has gone to pot. The new format is not going to work out for me. Thankfully Penthouse hasn't changed.

Playboy is reversing it's course. After a year of no nude photos and probably badly slumping sales, the nude photography is back. They said "I read it for the articles." Was totally true for a year. Now it's back to the "ya. Sure you do."
