I'll agree on that, some acronyms have several meanings.
Such as CRC and I can add another use, to the list there, Camera Ready Copy.

This is the most fun part of the game for me. The unexpected.

Perhaps there is some area for interpretation. Acronyms can both be proper names and descriptives:

B.B.C. is a proper name just like Clint-Eastwood and we allow proper names from time to time.

S.A.M. is a descriptive as in "surface-to-air missile".

What about USA?

A few other things to consider:
It contains the same letters in the same order as the previous post
It contains more than one punctuation mark (implicitly only one is permitted)

A few other things to note:
Providing hyperlinks to usage or definitions is not really playing the game - it is up to other folks to try and work out what links a pair of words.
Of course anyone can challenge a link between words, the place to do it is in this thread.
Unless challenged there is no need to explain every linkage you form - again it is up to others to try and work out your links. And remember others may head off in a different direction because they see a different linkage to the one you expected (in desperation rhymes may come in useful!)

Theoretically an acronym could be seen as a (hyphenated) linked set of words with special singular meaning.

Perhaps these rules apply? :

-A hyphen is allowed if the word makes sense in its entirety.

-One letter words are allowed (you can't actually post a one letter word but it will work when you put a punctuation mark behind it (or just a space:)

-Abbreviations are allowed
