I've passed 220 million Seti cobblestones and made it into 102nd spot by total. Cheers. |

Looked at the top computer list and my little rig seems to be the 2nd fastest Windows 10 rig at 151. Maybe I should try a dual boot with Linux? |

Looked at the top computer list and my little rig seems to be the 2nd fastest Windows 10 rig at 151. FYI just pick a random example, look at my host a blc task is crunched in about 70 secs your host does the same on about 270 secs. That is the kind of gain you could expect if you switch to Linux. Or you could see Keith 2070 host who is certainly more optimized and find even better numbers. |

Maybe I should try a dual boot with Linux? Dual-booting with Linux is very easy and painless if you already have Windows installed. Here is a great walkthrough. Done this for a few machines and no issues. Edit: Oh... passed 1.5 million daily and 700M. Almost forgot the topic :^) |

Stats page hasn't caught up yet but I finally cleared 2 Million RAC. Been bumping up against the target since the beginning of WOW. Woohoo! Pat myself on the back. Won't last as the two temp contest machines go back into the closet for another year after WOW. Congratulations to everyone on their milestones since my last visit to this thread. Yes, my RAC has reached 180K, yes, my 2 little rigs have reached peaks of 88K for the 2500K and 92K for the 3570K, but my milestone for today (well for about 2 weeks anyway) is enjoying my 1st taste of a coffee at the bar of the Top 100 Participants by Total Club (then I'll just have to go back to the bar at the Top 100 Participants by RAC Club for a couple of more weeks after that). :-D Once things settle down from that event I expect to back here to catch up. ;-) Cheers. |

The Beast has cracked 300 million credits. the 3rd single host ever to achieve it i'm also very pleased with its stability. i very rarely touch it other than checking that it's still up via the website Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours |

I went gpu crazy this last few months. And after learning how to use Linux optimized and thanks to the help received I finally managed to hit 1 million rac. Lessons learned. I shouldnt have purchased so many lower end gpus. Eg 1050ti, 1070ti. Things I like about the 1050ti can run on older hardware with low-end PSU since it doesn't take any external power and are 75watt. Wishes I really want to considalate and cut down on the amount of system into single system with multiple gpus. In the future I hope to get rid of all my old gpus 680,690, 980 and hopefully save to buy some 2080. I really wish the data center where my 2080ti didn't shutdown without notice and run with our hardware. Once again thanks everyone for your support |

Read the mining hardware thread for best ideas to consolidate many gpus into one host machine for least power usage footprint. Congratz on 1M RAC. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |
