...Never let age get in the way of romance ;-)
The law may say something different about that.

Several years ago I was with my elderly(describes me now)uncle at Walgreens Pharmacy. He was looking for a product that was a tube of cloth 18 inches long filled with silica sand and rope handles on each end. You place it in a microwave oven for 1 or 2 minutes to heat the silica then place it around your neck, the heat eases cervical muscle and upper back pain.

Long story short, after several minutes of searching the aisles he approached the very pretty and young cashier at the 1st register and announced "I'm looking for a 'Bed Buddy'(the name of the device)".

I could tell by the dawning look of horror on the young girls face the words had been misconstrued and I was mentally calculating how much it would take to bale him out of the local jail when the veteran cashier at the next register explained it was the name of a product and it was on the end cap of Aisle 4.

Sometimes it is better to let age get in the way of romance......or choose your words more carefully.

Yep, often you have to choose you words carefully around young folks. Seems we speak different languages - like Brits & Yanks.....

Got ya. Watched a movie. There was an frat party in progress and a questionable girl asked a guy about going upstairs. He then asked her if she was eighteen. She said yes. Then he said. "Will you still be eighteen tomorrow?" And walked away.

High 5 bud!
Still with Jason?
Nah, he goes ...
So I went ...
Then he goes ...
And I was like ...
etc

I guess my age is showing, 'new speak' makes my hair hurt...........

Now now Donald! The Brits speak proper English, the Yanks inherited it, then modified and simplified it to suit themselves.

My point exactly, good sir. But perhaps you would have preferred I compared New Englanders to Southerners, or Californians.....

Then there is "street talk", example below from two 16 year old white girls the other day.

I hate 5 year olds that can program videos to record a TV show, with one hand tied behind their back. There should be a law against them!

LOL, we can hardly keep up pace with those youngsters, tell me about it..

When adult people behave like a group of nursery children it's time for a drink.

On second thought then I'd probabaly be drunk all the time :o

In that case, just a coffee please. and something to make up for skipping breakfast and lunch...
