-[ criticism snipped ]-

No unwanted advice being offered, no criticism, just observations.

All you do is criticize. You are one destructive person dude!!!! I suggest you keep your opinions and criticism to yourself if you won't be a little more kinder to Vic.

[edit]
One other thing, we ALL know what your feelings are about Vic. You do not need to keep beating that dead horse. Lay off will ya?

There are two "observations" that seem to stand out to me. Firstly that is a very generous and kind offer from Sirius to Vic of a share of any future winnings.
For such a diehard Englishman, you have a difficult time in comprehending your own language. I'm not going to point out your error, but will tell you to go back & read all the posts concerned.

@Vic. No luck this weekend. However, over the past several weeks, I have noticed something about the lottery. Some months ago, I had 4 numbers which paid out £103.00. Last month had 5 paying £1,750.00

It seems that all prizes except the jackpot are now fixed levels.
3 = £30
4=£140
5=£1750
5/6+ =£1,000,000 (3 lucky winners yesterday btw - No, I'm not one of them. For the 1st time in a very long time, got no numbers at all).
6=jackpot.

The days of winning various "nice" amounts for 5 numbers seems to be over. :-( Still £1,750 is not to be ignored.

Don't worry about the lack of luck, sometimes one has it, sometimes one does not.

Yeah $2,256.52 not to be ignored, yeah I looked it up.

Chris S seems to act more like a MAGAt, then an Englishman, Fi Phi and all that.

But then the flag system here is utterly worthless, one could say they are from Antarctica, even if that is not true.

Well, if I was in a similar situation to him, I wouldn't waste funds on 2 cars & a 2nd home used to house a crunching farm & wasting power. I would have rented it out & enjoyed the extra income. :-)

Then again, it takes all sorts to make a world.

I certainly wouldn't be wasting my pension/s on buying S/H video cards to brag on something that he "says is a hobby" & valueless points. I also will not be attacking a fellow cruncher for buying computer parts.

With the property markets the way they have been for the last 30 years, that would have been some "extra" income. :-)

If My dad had been able to keep His dads place, I might have been able to make a killing in real estate, instead someone else owns it, oh well.

Message 1980924 - Posted: 17 Feb 2019, 21:56:41 UTC - in response to Message 1980917.

Every one is different. I personally think that it is all down to one's mental strength in how they handle adversity. If one let it get to them, bitterness is normally the result. My attitude has always been to have a good laugh & go to bed happy.
16 years ago next month, my regular crewmate left for pastures new. I had an agency crewmate with me the Monday after he left. This guy was quiet & nervous because on the Friday before, he got told by a regular who he worked with that week, that he is going to be sorry as he would be working with a crazy Irish b.....d.

We're on a Gloucester run & stopped at a roadside truck stop near Evesham. Grabbed myself a bacon sarnie & coffee. Noticed he was still sitting in the cab. Went back & told him to grab a cuppa. I got told he's skint - being ex agency myself, understood. Bought him coffee & sarnie. Said thanks when we pulled off, so made him think as I told him that by the end of the day, he will pay me back.

On the way home, pulled into the main truck stop at Evesham, fuelled up & had a meal. Terry was gobsmacked when I pulled out my slim clipboard, removed the money from it & split it 50/50. By the end of the week, he didn't have to worry about his main pay - between us we hit £370 in tips for the week. I spent a fantastic 6 months working with that black man, we hit it off perfectly. The work was long days sometimes, others it was awkward, but the fun & laughs we had with ourselves & customers were superb.

Our favourite crack to customers when offered a drink was, from me - "His is black no sugar, mine is white 2 sugars. You'd think it would be the other way around". That had customers in stiches as we both worked out how to get the goods into the home as it wasn't always that easy.

In over 40 years in the transport industry that man was the best I ever worked with. I was sad to see him leave as he wanted another job close to home. He lived in March, some run from Peterborough.

I do have much experience of people. There are many out there who dislike others doing better than themselves. That itself to me anyway is the biggest laugh in life. Simply because we all have the same destination. :-)

Vic, As I publicly stated, there are times you used to p me off. You have to admit my honesty when I said that. You must also realise from the info I've posted that I may have had genuine reasons to do so. I will not withdraw that statement as I believe from your responses, you actually realised the difficulties I faced.

You carry on posting. I trust that you now realise that those who post in reply to your posts are doing so in a constructive manner. For the destructive ones, just laugh. The above quote was made due to impressions given on these boards regarding that crunching farm & having to travel down to reset router/replace gpus etc etc etc.

That quote is erroneous making a liar of me. No problem. I'm one of those who can hold their hand ups instantly when a mistake is made. I point you to 1980969

The thing is GTX 750ti's were released on February 18 2014. If the truth has been told on these boards, then one can only begin to wonder...

Oops, Feb must not like me. :-( Making a liar out of me again. I still have several weekly Winners info tickets & all showed the same Prizes that I posted above...hmm.

Only thing I can think of is total prize fund & number of winners. Don't normally do mid week draws but yesterday was sisters 60th. :-)

Vic, I had a fair amount of free tickets & every time, won. That £103 win I posted, was the result of a free ticket. Yesterday was a jackpot of £18m so Sat should be at least £20m :)

Last 2 numbers got me a free ticket. See, I very rarely got no numbers at all. I'm not forgetting what I said so keep those fingers crossed..

Vic, I hope you have been taking note of what I have been posting. It is not B/S but fact. I've had my nice weekend ruined. Early this morning, I received 2 letters. 1st one I knew to be good news. Opened it & yes, good news. My energy supplier went down on 28.11.18 & the energy regulator in his/her wisdom transferred all that company's customers, to which I found out later, a disreputable one. To cut a long story short, I kicked them in the butt (Google Spark Energy/OVO Energy/Boost). They allowed the switch to new gas supplier, but blocked the electric one. One legal e-mail, unblocked & new supplier sorted.

2nd letter, which I thought was from my bank, it was not. It looks to be bad news. On a lawyers advice, I requested a complete breakdown of all liabilities & payments made to date. I received a 3 page summary & a 4 page list of transactions on the account. Since May 2014 I have been making monthly payments with an extra £10.
This is because, taking into account what happened in Feb 2005, Sept 2007 & Oct 2011, I wanted all annual liabilities in credit & for savings to reach a certain amount.
Car - NAS boxes & Ironwolf HDD's & a nice 3 week holiday in the sun as I've not had a good holiday since 2004.

Okay - That liability in 2013? That was a big mistake & mine alone. I mistakenly assumed that local government operated on the financial year, which in 2014 commenced Monday 7th April. I was wrong. Their year starts April 1st. Oops. That payment made in April 2014 covered the bill for the whole year. All payments made that year were extra. Nice :-) WRONG! Because of my mistake, even though the payments were made every month including the extra, I was paying in arrears. Again, that is down to me.

To make matters worse, I made no payments from Dec 2015 until May 2016 due to hospitalisation. However all that extra helped, to such a point that up to this morning I thought I was £520.50 in advance which would have covered 2019-20 bill giving me 12 months to build up a nice amount of spending money for the holiday. WRONG yet again.

2018-19 bill is cleared. 2017-18 cleared but a very big discrepancy according to what I'm reading on the summary. Costs of £226.24? That outstanding amount for 2013 of £82.04 now stands at £42.04?

Not a happy chappy as even if one takes those costs off the total of credit it leaves me a balance of £294..26. My greatest fear now is do I contest this & possibly see my savings & current accounts wiped out by legal fees? Or do I let the b*****ds get away with it? The transactions list has got me totally bamboozled. The image posted below just covered Nov, there were 3 for Aug 4 for July. That's it for 2018. Previous years show several more of either 3 or 4 weird payments. I'll let you all think of reasons for why it is happening as my head after over 5 hours ,had it with numbers for the weekend!

Vis start living within your means & try to cut back on the un-necessary items, increase your payments where you can...

I am not spending like you think, food is on some cards for the moment, it's that or starve, otherwise I am living within My means, paypal credit does not pay for rent or anything needed to keep a roof over My head, if you or anyone says that it does, you are all DEAD WRONG.

I can not stop making payments, if I spend to get something using paypal credit and it's within the what I have paid into on paypal credit...

SO WHAT???

I have a payment of $67.00 next month in April to Paypal Credit that I use on ebay, I'll be getting an awning(33.66), a Ryobi 18v NiMh 3.6Amp battery(16.89) and 2 Q-connectors(7.99), it's not hurting Me at $58.54.

It's like anyone else uses credit, it's ok, Me?? It's "you've got to live within your means", BS, BS, BS, BS... Note: Shipping in this case is FREE.

Oh and here's some good news, this week the temp outside got up to 79F outside and I did not need to turn on the a/c, the new window is keeping the heat out and a lot of insects too, I'm going to buy a small 40"x30" awning for $33.66 to protect the breaker box from more rain, last time the bathroom outlets were out of service, the rain was pouring off of My roof right on to My breaker box, why? Cause My home has Eaves only at either end of the home, not on the sides where My breaker box is at.

This is a pic of the West side of My home, the East side has the Breaker Box, notice No Eaves, when the rain comes from the West the box is sheltered, when the rain comes from the East the Box is not sheltered.

This pic is from a few months back when the park repaved the roads, the cheap coating is wearing off.

My Bank account pays for space rent, electricity, natural gas, water, trash, property taxes on My home, cable(Internet), car insurance, gasoline, payments for 4 months for My car repairs.

Food is all that is on 5 cards and some is from My bank account, in June or August this will according to California law change, it's not pending like some "know nothing" said.

In June or August the 5 cards will not be used for anything.

I keep on saying this and some here are very ignorant, I've even posted links, so get off My back about it, this was a Build Thread, but it seems some don't like that as they consider a Build Thread or Build Log Bragging, it is not bragging.

So when I say I have such and such, they think all My bills get paid by credit cards, well that has never been true.

If people don't like that I have a good enough credit score to get some cards, so what? I don't live on them, My bank knows I don't and I don't need anyones permission to have them, don't like that?

SUE ME.

As you are into ebay, why didn't you look for "waterproof circuit breaker cover"
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Waterproof-Clear-6-Position-Distribution-Box-Switch-Cover-for-Circuit-Breaker/232058503487?hash=item3607c3c13f:g:u2wAAOSwJm5cZYWH

My breaker box is close to 12 inches wide and nearly 1.5 feet tall, sorry it's not exact, nice find, but your box would not fit.

My solution will intercept the rain flowing off the roof regardless if it's a trickle from the West or a flood from the Easterly direction which never happened here and I've lived here in this park since 2004. For the moment I covered the top of the box with weather resistant pipe wrap tape, rain here historically comes from the West as does most of the wind. I could go out and get exact measurements, but it's dark out and could be raining as well, it can wait.

A close up of My Eaton breaker box, each breaker is about 1 inch wide, regardless if they are dual or single. A door goes in front of this(the hinge is on the left out of frame), and an outer door comes down from above out of frame.
