You could also try and file them thinner. Why buy when you could adapt a cheap set of screw drivers.

Vic if the worst came to the worst and you can't get the tool you need there's ALWAYS SNAP-ON and MAC Tools ive got loads of "SNAP-ON" tools , yea they are expensive BUT I know they WILL have the tool you need and if you talk nicely to the dealer in his van he can let you have the tool on credit and you pay of a small amount each week . I don't know America that well but im sure snap on and mac will work the same way there as they do over in England (being American company's)
OR you can get 99% of their tools off ebay and over in England Snap - -on and MAC have their OWN Ebay pages so why would it be different in America ??

Greetings,

Yep, agreed. That is how I got all my Snap-On tools and my BIG royal blue roll-a-way tool box. Another nice thing about Snap-On, at least with the dealer I dealt with when I was in California, is they will take off brand trade-ins towards a shiny new Snap-On tool.

Keep on BOINCing...! :)

Yea they do that over here , I wernt going to say coz wer'nt to sure on the "set up " Snap on run in the States .
Even if its just a one off deal im sure they would help Vic out , company's who have helped me out in the past I will and do recommend to friends / family and "word of mouth " still means lots . Id rather deal with someone face to face not a big "faceless" company that don't give a shite apart from taking your money .

zoom I know you are short on money ... why pay a electrician $75/hr to replace a $3 plug?

just make sure the power is off, plug a light into it and make sure it goes off when you turn the breaker off.

It's just 3 wires, way easier than putting a motherboard in.

you can do it in 10 minutes, just draw a picture of where the different color wires go.

Holy Cow! I'm an electrician. It is not a hobby! I will give sound advice though. I installed dual 20amp circuits for my electronics (dedicated). Please feel free to ask questions, especially where an older mobile home is concerned.

Mines not that old, it's a 1987 Fleetwood Westfield, the manufacturer went bankrupt in 2009(almost 3 years after I bought the place and moved it here, it was in a park that was closing in N. Las Vegas NV), I have two 20A 115v circuits, both use 12ga wire and was installed by an electrician, I'm not in shape to do that anymore, nor will I ever be, trust Me on this. I do know what to do of course, I just don't know what the brand or type of breaker is, the gas heater uses a one or two 15A breakers, both will I was told, need replacement. Getting any replacement parts through the current Fleetwood is impossible.

I'll eventually need 3 or 4 20A 115v circuits installed in the living room of this 810sqft singlewide.

Vic, Just take the breakers to any electrical supply store and they will match them with what you need. Just because Fleetwood used them doent mean you cant find any to match.

There must be a brand name on the breaker box.

Well the model numbers on the breakers on the left clearly show what you have/need.

and yea it looks like and old box ... and I can't think of why the hell they put a pin between 2 different breakers on the right side.

yea if your box and wiring is that old, I would suggest and electrician to look at it. You can bump up some (depending on the number breaks in wire) that fall into the electrical code region.

you have extra breaker slots, but no idea how easy it is to get a new wire from there to here, if the current wires won't support it.

wish I was there to see inside panel and look around, but that's all I can say right now.

Zoom

If you want to get breakers yourself, you might try these guys, Relectric. They specialize in old and hard to find circuit breakers.

A few years ago I needed a 20 and a 30 amp 3-phase breakers for our old GE breaker box, and they had them right in stock.

They do handle Bryant and Murray brand of breakers, send them an e-mail and tell them what you want to do, I am sure they would be glad to help you out.

It doesn't matter what type oh home, garage, or dog house the power panel is in.

If it's the right breaker for the panel, it will work.

It is vital that you have a breaker that is of the correct rating and will fit your existing panel.

Off subject for a moment
(I've spent three hours today explaining to someone who should know better why they are forever suffering welded contacts on a three-phase AC rated breaker being used to break the equivalent total load on each of the three contacts, the load is DC and inductive. A classic case of someone seeing that the breaker was rated for 1kW, 415v volt, so they thought it would switch 3 DC loads of 10A /110v... I know there was a lot of smoke released when the breaker failed to open - I was in the room next door and heard the bang)

Ok I did something, I took a pic of the ram, all 16GB of Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz ram, yep I used the phone, I don't know yet if the phone has any camera flash setting or not, so I experimented, this one was the best.

If Samsung used the same interface on that phone then I would imagine the camera app looks something like this http://i.imgur.com/ZC92xCB.png. Tapping the gear icon would let you go into the first level menu to toggle the flash modes from off, on, & auto. Then while that is open tapping the gear icon again, or using the menu button on the phone would open the advanced menu options. Where you can adjust further camera settings like white balance.

I found out, that there is no camera flash on the Galaxy series, this was to make a thin phone, so the camera(there are 2, a 1.3mp and a 5.0mp, supposedly, I've only been able to use the larger one), so the Canon a540 will do any interior shots for the foreseeable future, but then it can be done, in a flash.

Galaxy series is the name Samsung uses for all of their tablets & phones. Looking at a review for the Galaxy Ring does show it has a flash. I have yet to ever use the front facing camera on my Galaxy S4 for anything other than "oh look the front camera works".
I have a nice 16MP Nikon camera I rarely use at 16MP. Since images at that size are to large to reasonably use on the internet.

Either camera should be good for pics of your builds however the review for the phone did state "This 5-megapixel camera took surprisingly poor photos."

Vic, it has flash but just on the 5MP camera.
Check for an app called S-Voice or AVC, it should be on the phone in the app section.
Start it and just say flash on.
Dont forget to switch it off again.

These are double breakers on a single lug inside. The breaker on the right, the two connected are for a 240v circuit, like for an electric water heater. those two are on opposite legs inside the panel.

I'm just going to wait for the torx security screwdrivers to show up in the mail. But at least I'm making progress. sigh.

On the smaller security torx I have had a little luck by using a small flat screwdriver to snap out that security post, then using a regular torx driver

Good to know you got the flash to work. Now you just need the flashlight app. I use it on my smart phone all the time.
