I got the New Asetek 2011 kit in today, the screws fit fine, I had to use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the 4 old screws in the previous pics, the i/o shield is on its way from China, soon I will test this motherboard. I need to do some work on 1 video card for the testing phase. I love the 2011 mounting system, so much better than the non standard that socket 115x and 1366 have been forced into, Asetek uses M3 screw threads for 115x, and for 1366, while M4 is standard for 2011(v3 too) as chosen by Intel.

I got some more work done on the EVGA P55 FTW motherboard, the Deepcool Captain 360EX is almost fully installed, I just have to plug in the 3 fans to an included fan bus, and I'll be done with this. I still need to work on a video card's fan.
There are a few parts to install, mainly supplied screws, nuts, and two bars, the bars were a bit hard to get on the screws, but it went together easy enough, you might want to use a Phillips screwdriver at a point in this kit.

I put the bars like this, why?

So the hoses will go like this.

A couple or three "Go Fund Mes" and you will have those elite EVGA 1080Tis FTW3 and money in the bank. Legitimate use of O2...I think not.

I am concern with the tubes and your cards. How big are the cards you are going to install in those slots? Is there enough room for them to sit properly?

I've got some credit cards now, which I'm slowly paying off, so No thanks.
I'll have a limit increase in a few months on one, from $500 to $750 I'm told, I just need to make regular payments, which I'm very good at.
I'm looking at an EVGA 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid, for the moment I'll fix what I have, when I get the energy, and the pain is low...

And yes I know of 2 sources on where to get one at, but then I've got the psu to run 4 of those beasts, all 1500w, but I would have to put the Cooler Master Glacer 240L cpu radiator in the drive bays, and yes I have the parts to do that.

I'll have to put in the Zotac 580 Lightning in a day or so in all 3 slots, the top and middle should be no problem, the bottom? We'll see.
In any case the 360EX won't fit any other way in this case design, a 240EX will though, and yes I have one of those too.
How's this, Steve?

I don't care what the temp feels like, all I know is it's HOT here outside @ 112.5F, inside 87F, My old LC GTX 580 card is not helping matters any, I need to get a newer card that puts out less heat.

I know a 1070 is supposedly better, but at 170w the 1970 is not too bad, the 1070 EVGA Hybrid has a max Watts rating of 170w, better than the 300w burner here, the 970 would be about $222.02 to at least $230.92 delivered.

And a 1070 card is currently out of My reach in the short term, since they cost almost twice as much as a 970 card, if you can find one that is.

Plus I lost 2 usb 3.0 ports, tried to reinstall the drivers, only to lose them again after 10 mins, even after uninstalling, rebooting, and installing the drivers again, this might be a flakey cable, thankfully I have a spare cable.

I've got 3 Corsair HG10 N970 water cooling kits, and an extra AIO cpu cooling Radiator, it just needs a compatible GTX970 card, EVGA 1970 or 1972, PNY, Palit, Gainward, and possibly Zotac, even though Zotac is not on Corsair's list, the Zotac circuit board matches the PNY or the Palit or the Gainward, and roughly the EVGA too, the EVGA uses less ram chips, the Zotac has 2 DVI ports vs the PNY, Palit, and Gainward cards.

PNY, Palit, Gainward.

EVGA 1970 or 1972.

Zotac...Surgery is still on for the 27th...

In July that would amount to $116.67, maybe, I have 6 cards, and a credit line to feed. It's partly why I canceled My cable tv and internet, I'm on a slow 3G cellular connection currently, so that I can get internet as a New customer from Spectrum Cable(ex-TWC) for $15.83 a month, instead of $64.99 before any taxes.

Spectrum has a program called Spectrum Internet Assist, but that requires one to be a NEW Customer, and Spectrum won't waive that, otherwise I'm qualified for that program, I just need to hold out until July 10th. They will waive the age requirement though. And I don't live in an AT&T Access area(it's DSL), they have one for $10 a month, and AT&T does not seem to be as stingy as Spectrum...

I'm trying very hard. My old cable bill was $123.99 a month, normally that would be $134.51 and both included HD TV. The 3G is paid for and is expensive, but is My only other ISP choice here, DSL doesn't exist anymore out here, so it's Cable or 3G...

Prayers for a quick recovery.

Thanks Zalster, right now the Toshiba Satellite c675 is not going anywhere, since the power adapter box just held a cord and some useless fittings, but not the power adapter, there goes another $35.00 eventually. And I doubt the battery is charged right now, so it will sit.

I plan to have installed a 1 TB SSD, and 16GB ddr3 so-dimm ram, but not today.

Hey Zalster, was checking out the pics you posted up-thread a little bit, and noticed your RAC. You having issues with your kit, or are you spreading your crunching around to other projects? Or something else entirely?

Ok, getting past the photo-rust-bucket blockade, live from FB, I just created an album, I'll be populating it in the coming days with pics that were here...

I'm waiting for the 90w psu brick/charger for My 'new' Toshiba Satellite c675d laptop(the laptop was FREE), an Nvidia GTX 970 reference card(980 type card really), and a Corsair HG10 N980 adapter(for the 970) to be shipped from Amazon.

Also I'm waiting to pay for a Palit GTX 970 video card that I won on ebay, the miners are really inflating the prices of the cards, why am I waiting? I made a deposit, it has to clear first, I put in a combined $272.99, so far it's enough to overcome the differences in currency values, which fluctuate some, but then I'm paying in GBP from US$.

I owe 209.38 GBP, which so far has not gotten close to $272.99, probably overkill, but any excess stays on the card.

Maybe they are old pictures and the thread date has "old" RAC?

No RAC changes as it does on your stats page. He's commenting on why it's going down.

That's easy, I'm not crunching seti at the moment. But he will know when I start to again, lol.....
