Someone just cleared out all the Hanging APv6 APs but instead of the third man out getting points they got Invalids. What's up with that? Eric has commited a changeset: https://setisvn.ssl.berkeley.edu/trac/changeset/2891 DPA fixed bug validating 3rd resultss. Claggy |

Someone just cleared out all the Hanging APv6 APs but instead of the third man out getting points they got Invalids. What's up with that? So it was necessary to give people that had Valid tasks Invalids and ruin their Consecutive Valid task stats? Surely they could have been tagged Valid instead. |

Bleh, just did a reset, to clean out possible crap, only to discover that resend is turned off. I can imagine how you feel. It will be 25 or 26 days depending on where you are before the results will be released into the wild again unless resend are turned on before |

Someone just cleared out all the Hanging APv6 APs but instead of the third man out getting points they got Invalids. What's up with that? Every task I've checked has the last man reporting marked as Invalid. I doubt very seriously that EVERY last man had an Invalid task, especially when the results match the other two tasks. Check it out. |

I've got 26 invalids in total and all of them follows that scenario... Workunit 1566041922 Workunit 1560932181 Workunit 1533780461 ... etc btw, "nice" way from the project to say thanks for your time and effort. Who the hell is General Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?¿ |

You know, I am just glad to get rid of the AP6's. I have seen one of mine log as invalid as third man. What happened was mine started after one computer went over deadline. That computer did complete but my WU finished a week later after the log showed the other two computers had validated. Just a timing thing, nothing to worry about. Hmmmm, http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7226971&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=12 The problem is, the change is now part of the source code. So...from now on anytime you run a timed-out resend you run the risk of receiving an Invalid if the timed-out host reports before you do. Not good, kinda makes you wary of running a timed-out resend, if I'm reading this correctly... |

Some listed results validated against old stock that even not list signal numbers. Some counters match indeed but counters not only that should match (at least for non-zero signals results). Maybe we could get some comments on purpose of this change from Berkeley's crew... |

Meantime it resulted in quite funny/scary (depends from ppoint of view) server-statistics numbers: Data Distribution State SETI@home # Astropulse # As of* Results ready to send 147,991 0 9m Current result creation rate 0.6722/sec -0.5000/sec 5m Seems it reflects tasks taking back from crunchers correctly though %) |

I'll check these results in more detail. It's possible we introduced a bug in this version of the validator. @SETIEric@qoto.org (Mastodon) |

Found the bug. (An assumption valid for ap_v7 but not valid for ap_v6). Will grant credit for results marked invalid. @SETIEric@qoto.org (Mastodon) |

Found the bug. (An assumption valid for ap_v7 but not valid for ap_v6) Good to hear that! BTW, what those AP tapes that appear only for few mins and marked as whole channels crunched almost immediately? Does some AP splitting go or it's just artefacts from damaged (at least for AP splitting) tapes? |

Found the bug. (An assumption valid for ap_v7 but not valid for ap_v6) Excellent question. |

Something crash badly? Or one of Matt's little planned outages? The kitties dropped over 200 from cache in the last half an hour or so. Meow? "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
