Sarah Palin was a mistake, not properly vetted, and an attempt to counter the novelty effect of a Black Presidential candidate with another novelty, a woman. The Republicans missed the mark and probably cost McCain the election.

Sarah is not stupid, she simply has a talent for wearing her foot like a denture. Her views on family, individuality, self-reliance and God reflect that of a large element of the Mid and Western US with the exception of the magical kingdom of California(no offense meant to any residents).

The form the US Government takes in the next six years will define whether we sink totally into socialism and a declining economy or pull back from the edge and begin rebuilding the damage done by failed policies of the past THREE administrations.
