That averages to $0.833 USD per active user - don't know if I would call that good or not.....

The link is a recent history of contributions to SETI@home from Donate to SETI@home, but like everything else it's being very slow to pull data from the database at the moment - a symptom of the problem we need to cure through donations.

There is a website somewhere that lists the donations to Seti@home month by month, but I have mislaid the link. I can't speak on behalf of the project, but I would suggest that £5 is as much gratefully received as £500. There used to be fund raising drives for specific items of kit, but not for some time now. If anyone is generous enough to have a significant sum to donate, e.g. £500, it might be worth contacting Dr. Korpela and asking whether they wanted it used in a specific way, or added to the general fund. I have personally in the last few days donated another £50 and it all helps.

What doesn't help is figures like these.

Only 8% actively participating ....

The main problem is that all the Seti Lab staff have other UCB projects than Seti to deal with. Eric has said many a time that a rolling Bursary for a full time Seti@home person would be fantastic. Perhaps we could get nitpicker up and running with that, but we are talking very big money there.
