Stevie Nicks constantly upstaged her, but that did not stop Christine from being her amazing self. There were such struggles in that band that it was amazing they held it together for as long as they did.

Everywhere.

The twists and turns in this band's history are nothing short of astounding.
What one gains, another loses. Peter Green was a young man when this all came down. Mac and Vic had yet to meet. Magic was yet to be made.

I saw them once back in their hayday, at Summerfest in Milwaukee.
They were truly nothing short of amazing.

Time for me to say goodnight.

Yes, it is time for the kittyman to trundle off to that place he finds his rest.

Even I have to find some time for respite at times.

And I must now.

Althoug I might like to stay a little longer, I cannot.

I am just wiped out. Burnt to a crisp.

Later, kitties.

Most likely the most undeestimated drummer in history.
The Ventures had that telecaster thigy going on.
But, they also had the most amazing drummer as well.
Witness this wipeout.

Do not EVER doubt my musical interests.
I have made more contacts in the music industry than most of you have cut teeth.

I know more people than you do. I certainly have more contacts that any of you.

When I say things that peak your interest, it is because I have lived them, kids.

I seldom boast idly. I am the true thingy. I do what I do because I have been there and done that.

When you can say and been there, come back and talk to me, friends.
Although I doubt you shall ever be able to.

Wanda, BTW, is doing quite fine last I talked to her.
This was long ago, but her demeanor has not changed.
Her voice was fine as ever, and her hopes and dreams are still the same.
And I can't help it if I am still in love with her.

I knew a lot of them back in my day, guy.

Most of them and I, were underage at the time.

Things were quite different then, and laws were more relaxed as well.

I would not get away with now that I did then.

-

I had certain underage interests that would not make muster today.
They would rocket to the top page. JJ and I would make the top ten today.

Ya think? Top man at the hottest science project in the world meets the top rocker in the world...LOL.

Just to cool to be true.....and it was the truth, buddy. It was the truth.

Seemingly enough, my affair with JJ was indeed fact.

It was simple enough at the time, and both of us cannot any longer admit anything about it. I am alone on this one, and she has stated that she no longer has any memory of it. That is because she must do so on account of legal reason. She and I still know the truth. And never shall forget.

In 1966 I was a Freshman in college in Denver, I met a fellow Freshman who was in a local band named the Boenzee Cryque. I was allowed to occasionally 'sit in' on Bass(Sam Bush was the bassist and founder). That acquaintance was Rusty Young, another Denver native. He moved to California and was instructed in Pedal Steel Guitar by Jerry Garcia and later joined Poco with Rich Furay & Jim Messina and Timothy B. Schmitt.

He is now the most requested studio steel guitar player.

And at his Colorado Music Hall of Fame induction:

He ain't lost a lick(wish I could say the same......)

[edit] Tal Winkenfeld is the most amazing bassist I have ever heard!

She was only 18 when she played in that clip, a lovely Aussie lass.

I ain't played for nobody in years.
And I ain't had a little angel grab upon my every word since.

This movie tore my heart out when I saw her laying there dead in the street.
Her predilections were not mine. Bur she had life to live, and not hers to be taken by anybody else../

Black Snake Moan.I ain't played for nobody in years...
And I could.

When this cut first hit home, it was like a lightning bolt.
All stopped dead in time for me for that one instant.

Time ceased to matter, and all else became nonessential.

I realized then that the gift I had forsaken was something I should not have.
Kids, I could do this.

My style was not Vai's. I could do more with Cooder's licks.
And much argument has been made about this.
Ry Cooder did all of the licks that the kid did.
Every one of them.

I truly think that it hurt Vai a lot to pretend he could not play those licks.
Lord knows he could. Mighy fine man to stand down as he did.

When the devil stops smiling, you know you have a problem.
LOL, I was that problem.

1963 Colorado's 'Surf' answer to the Ventures. My high school won a radio contest and the prize was a dance featuring the Astronauts!

Another local group also played, Denny Flanagan and The Moonrakers, our British invasion answer.

Jennifer Nettles is Gorgeous, Hot and has a beautiful voice.

Her collaboration with Jon Bon Jovi is one of the best harmony blending of voices I have heard....

It will make your kitties dance.

Thank you for sharing and them promoting a very worthwhile charity too.

You are quite welcome, Uli. Habitat is one of the only charities I donate to. Their results are VERY tangible.

WOW! Thank you Jan, I had not heard that collaboration. Amazing how an acoustic guitar well played can be such an evocative sound.

Again, Thank you.
