Unfortunately with large caches on 2 of my machines I still have a fair amount of them in there but no NEW ones have downloaded so it is as you said. Once I get thru all of them I should be good to go. Thanks for the update Mark. Zalster |

What about 'Intel GPUs'? Normally no GPUs would get tasks marked as VLAR. I have never tried running VLAR tasks on my Haswell, Ivy Bridge, or Bay Trail GPUs. So I'm not sure how they would handle them, but my gut feeling is that they would be ok. You will have to let us know how your system responded to the tasks. (Currently) I have just an Intel® Celeron® J1900 + Intel® HD Graphics. The iGPU have just 4 compute units. E.g. an AR 0.414109 WU lasts 6h:10mins on the iGPU. Maybe a .vlar would lasts ~ 18 hours ...? I aborted the two WUs this morning ... AFAIK, ATI/AMD GPUs get .vlar's, or not longer? ![]() |

(Currently) I have just an Intel® Celeron® J1900 + Intel® HD Graphics. I also have a Celeron J1900, but have it configured to only run AP at present. Its iGPU is much slower than HD2500 or HD4600 iGPU, but gets the job done just fine for me. It was reported that Eric is pretty sure the VLAR to GPU exception is back in place. So I would not expect iGPU to get VLAR any longer. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours ![]() |

And tapes seem to be disappearing from the status page, even though AP hasn't chewed through them. Unless that's another case of "AP already did those a few years ago, so no need to do them again." Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Are the splitters here and beta online? A mobile on main has got no tasks available since just before nine last night and another has had the same with beta since about two this afternoon (UTC times). ![]() Member of the People Encouraging Niceness In Society club. ![]() |

Yes, Check the server Status pages, there is plenty of work at both projects. Your computers are hidden at both projects, what are these mobiles? Android versions? Boinc versions. Claggy |

Native boinc 7.0.36 on both, the android at main doesn't show what the android version is but the kernel version is 2.6.35.7. The phone on beta is running android 4.0.4. ![]() Member of the People Encouraging Niceness In Society club. ![]() |

Eric has limited Wu disribution to Android versions lower than 5.00, what that means to Boinc versions that don't report it is anybodies guess: Android Version Checking The versions of SETI@home currently distributed can't run on Android 5+ (Lollypop). We're working on new versions. My NativeBoinc host is probably a day or two away from asking for work. Claggy |

Got another on the same nativeboinc and running android 4.2.2 that asked and got a task today, don't know if it helps. ![]() Member of the People Encouraging Niceness In Society club. ![]() |

No work being received. Cricket graph has bottom out. and for a while scheduler contacts weren't going through. Claggy |

And again - the third time I've noticed this morning. Anyone noticed a trend of "stumble, limp, stumble, stumble, crash" recently? Seems to start with a "can't connect", as if the scheduler has spontaneously rebooted. Then some slow responses, and no tasks sent - while everything reloads from disk? Then quicker responses, but still no tasks. Finally, the tasks start being allocated again. If this was a personal computer at home, I'd suggest it was time to evict the dust-bunnies - but there can't be any dust at the co-lo, can there? |

Yes, I have noticed some scheduler stumbles, but it's holding out. ![]() |

ivan wrote:Well, as of 2042 UTC, all my machines have their full quota of MB tasks, except for my Celeron J1900 which I switched from Linux to Windows 10 on Monday. It's not done enough GPU jobs yet to have its performance quantified (currently its GPU is running at 70 or 80% of a single CPU core, but the CPU is reportedly running at 2.4 GHz, for a 2 GHz part!). Ah, thanks. I thought it might have been something like that, but I hadn't got around to go looking for it. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I know you may have had tasks purge from the list, but it appears you have only completed 1 task out of 12 in almost 2 months? You may want to consider cutting your cache down to 1 day if you never have your computer on. ![]() |
