Well, I busted my 4 mil, the GPUs have run dry, can't get any fresh work and the last toddy made me more sober, not less. Must be bed time ... :) |

Server status page is showing the usual green for MB to be running (AP is still dead), however it's not working. I have just managed to connect for the first time today but got the dreaded 'project has no tasks available' message. NB I was asking for MB not AP. |

All 400 WU completed a couple of minutes ago and nothing is left. My Log says: Requesting new tasks for CPU and NVIDIA Scheduler request failed: attempting access to reference site Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down......... Why do we need to stay in the darkness? How much work does it take to just let us know what's going on? |

All 400 WU completed a couple of minutes ago and nothing is left. Now, don't go there, I am the master of maudlin. There are some problems now, to be sure. But the project is not going dark. I assure you, there are searches that shall go on, should the project go on, long after you and I are laid to rest. Until we find what we are searching for, and then again, forever after looking for more. Don't fret, my friend. They shall sort the servers sooner or later. They are only computers, wondering where to be pointed. At times, theat direction is lost. I for one, am not worried. Meow. My best guess here is that the problems we are encountering atm are more than just a remote reboot, so for now the back up projects should keep us happy until monday... Just keep crunching ! |

I can finally contact the servers. I am totally out of WU. Of course, when I get through, I get "no work available". As Harlan Ellison wrote: "I Have No WUs And I Must Scream" |

Server status page is showing the usual green for MB to be running (AP is still dead), however it's not working. and now finally snagged 8 MB's but took a lot of effort to download them as they kept erroring out. |

Instead of all Scheduler requests failing, it's back to a lot of requests failing. And as mentioned, those that do get through mostly result in "Project has no work available". There is work going out, but once again it is very irregular & bursty. Average turnaround time & Received in the last hour numbers haven't updated for over a week. Significant server issues remain. EDIT- at least the forums are responsive now, they were very sluggish for a while there. Grant Darwin NT |

...sometimes it does, but sometimes it doesn't... More a case of almost never it does, almost always it doesn't. For all the bursts of network traffic, the fact is the read-to-send buffer is now empty & the splitters still aren't up to the job. They appear to be doing better than they have been, but still they can't sustain any sort of output over 30/s or so. Given the number of shorties I've received so far, they'd probably have to sustain 40/s to meet demand, let alone build up the ready-to-send buffer again. Grant Darwin NT |

Glenn I find a good panic session works better than a tantrum. |

If any one needs to take a break, it's you. It's disappointing, even annoying, but it's nothing to get worked up over. If something so trivial is going to upset you so much, I suggest you just give it up & find something less stressful to keep you amused. Seriously, settle down & behave like an adult. Childish temper tantrums don't accomplish anything. Grant Darwin NT |

I finally got some more work on one of my systems- a good 95% of them are shorties. Got to love how when work is hard to come by, what you get doesn't last long at all. Grant Darwin NT |

All I ask is a little explanation. Minimum courtesy to millions of contributors. By the way, mine finally started downloading WUs. |

All I ask is a little explanation. Something's wrong with the servers. On Monday when they go back to work they'll sort it out then. Grant Darwin NT |

All I ask is a little explanation. Well a few contributors anyway. I run 6 older low power machines. None ran out of work, If I was not someone who came here and read these pages I would probably not have known anything was wrong. Looking at my machines now all have full caches and there are no upload or download problems. |
