400 thousand tasks in ready to send, but i'm beaten to them. sigh.

And yet they're still there, ready to send, so you didn't get beat. Very little is getting sent out in response to work requests. No way to know, but a wild guess that the scheduling server isn't giving split results to the download servers??

I just got 52, so guess again.

Now I see green bar of the cricket graph is up.

Yeah, seems to be clearing up a bit, not seeing as much delay looking at tasks either.

Interesting mix of work at the moment.
Pretty much everything my CPU is getting is a VLAR, and all the GPU is getting are shorties. There's not much in between work around at all, it's one or the other at the moment.

Tempting fate here, but it looks like they've got the Scheduler sorted out during the outage- no Scheduler errors in my log, and the network graph is nice solid green without all the previous spikes & crevasses.

EDIT- although there are issues with the Result Creation rate. It's barely been hovering above the 30/s mark. To meet demand & build up the ready-to-send buffer 35/s is the minimum these days (particularly with AP still down).

I suspect the creation rate is being affected from how busy vader is doing assimilations.

FYI,
I had contact with Eric ...
He said 'if everything will go like it should' then at 24 Feb AP will be online again.
You see it's not 100 % sure. So please don't shoot Eric or me if AP will be still offline. ;-)

Hi Dirk,

Did he by any chance happen to mention when the comms problem is going to be sorted out? I'm getting more than a little tired of getting 'unable to contact server' error messages from BOINC.

This has been ongoing for days now, and the downtime hasn't resulted it it being sorted out.

Regards,

No, we spoke just about AP.

Latest ~ 24 hours after weekly maintenance all should run smoothly.

If you have still connection problems just drop a message here.
If others don't have problems, maybe it's your internet connection ...?

Got errors fixed.

For some reason the ati5 exe, was trying to run as administrator (which I am) and even after deleting it and letting it download a fresh copy it wanted to run as admin until rights were changed changed.

Not even that many, back to zero again.
MB splitters still struggling, still no ready-to-send buffer.

We're returning nearly 100K completed tasks per hour, and yet the number out in the field is still growing.

The last solid news from Eric was this:
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=76577&postid=1630966

And the last few words don't look that encouraging :-(
He has a lot of other work to do besides SETI, and if the problems with the Astropulse database are deep seated it could be a major diagnostic and rebuild is underway, which will take a fair time (don't forget it appears to have taken the best part of a week to drag the database up the hill from the collocation site to the lab, so that's one week of three gone, then there's the hair pulling, diagnostics, scrumping around for a solution, testing it, debugging it, moving the database back down the hill, checking it, deploying it... certainly tight for one man in two weeks :-(

I seem to be getting a fair number of APS now.

If they were sent out in late January, they'll be just hitting deadline round about now.
