Strange that...I seem to recall a fledging party by the name of Liberal Democrats, they seem to have changed the face of British politics!

Another strange thing happened on the way to the forum...

Bit coincidental that Europe is experiencing similar parties. Regardless of the "rags", does not that suggest that something is fundamentally wrong or is the water supply to the "gullible masses" being spiked?

Its not a coincidence at all. With the current "austerity" policies in Europe you have many of the same conditions that were in Germany when they voted the Nazi's into power. Only this time the scapegoat isn't the Jews, its another group of people who can't stand up for themselves.

Well UKIP is against immigrants, which is code for minorities.

You can't beat a Crombie for style :-)

It's nice to see a male politician's clothing being critiqued for once!

I forgot. Europe today is now almost zero tolerant to immigrants.
About an average 10% of the population is now against immigration.
Even a new term has occured. Fortress Europe.
For instance UKIP thinks that Britain are overcrowded of them!

& what is wrong with controlled immigration which is what UKIP are calling for?

I don't see the likes of Australia getting blasted for this the way British politicians do.

Back to England because right now my GF are watching "Are you smarter then a 5th grader?":)
The question is about UKIP's main pledges "Scrap Sex and Relationship Education for children under 11"
How is a Child born? Meaning PG 11:)
They got help from children about 4 to 6 olds.
Meaning PG 4-6:)

If you leave sex education until kids are actually starting puberty it is probably too late.
If they are old enough to ask, they are old enough to get some sort of answer.

I dont Think kids younger than 11 needs any sex eductions, perhaps relationship eduction:)
So why does UKIP have it as a main pledge?
Where are the parents? Or School and adults?

I didn't know children under 11 got sex ed. I didn't receive any until halfway through secondary school.
Well, not officially. Off-curriculum is another matter...

True, but their leader as well as others in the party publicly stated that they are heading for major losses come May 7th.

I would like to know what they know.

Labour/Conservative/UKIP no change with Lib Dems dropping a percentage point. Looking more & more like another hung parliament :-(

Janne, most people in the know knew 6 months ago that the election was very likely to produce yet another hung parliament. Back then the big unknown was very much what coalition deals might be done with a number of smaller parties. As of now the major parties are all saying no coalition deals will be forthcoming. But at this stage in the game they would be saying that.
They can't be seen to be doing much else by their supporters other than going all out to win a majority. But when it comes down to the early hours on May 8th, with bleary eyes and equal minority governments possible, how many U turns might we see? Who is that desperate to be PM?
But of course all the possible permutations of coalitions with all the possible players are already being worked out behind the scenes by them all as we speak, with the odds changing every day. Don't ever be naive enough to think otherwise.

Its funny that Britain almost have the same poll results as us.
Labour 34% (Social Demokraterna)
Conservative 33% (Moderaterna)
UKIP 14% (Sverige Demokraterna)
Liberal Democrats 8% (Folk Partiet)
Green 5% (Miljöpartiet)
Others 6%

It's worth noting that Europe is not core issue in either Conservative or Labour manifestos.
UK voters concerns are obviously elsewhere.

Never hear any Brits talking about Spain other than as a holiday spot, Jann.
