I looked around but didn't see this although it seems it should be a common issue.

I used to see graphics, all the graphs changing, when SETI@Home was running and in the screen saver but no more. Is it related to nVidea graphics card changes? I don't even see a place to enable them.

You are using the GPU to crunch with. This does not support Seti screen saver.
