Good Morning,(Afternoon, etc.) to all and Namaste......

I've been re-reading the "Tao of Physics" by Fritjof Kapra. Very interesting how eastern philosophies have long viewed physical properties of the Universe in ways that modern physicists are just now coming to agree with, i.e. that solids are in no way 'solid', but instead mostly space held together by force.

Beer o'clock early today at lunch planning our 50th Class Reunion.

Cheers and Beers!

:D G

There is a phrase the "good old days" although people do say that they weren't as good as most like to think, just a simpler way of life. UK Prime Minister Harold Macmillan famously said in 1957 "most of our people have never had it so good" which later became a foil for comedians. Harold also said at the time

"In March, Ghana became the first Black African nation to gain independence from the UK. Other British colonies are expected to follow suit in the next few years. The pattern of the Commonwealth is changing and with it is changing Britain's position as the Mother Country. Our children are growing up."

Perhaps if we had had been stronger parents we wouldn't have had such unruly kids after they left home.

But I digress again, more Beer Landlord (pun intended!)

As a child who grew up in the 50's and spent a lot of time in the Boy Scouts, Church groups, and Civic youth programs, we were taught respect for life in general and for authority that was just.

In my old jaundiced opinion I believe the 24 hr a day saturation of today's young and impressionable minds with the belief that all disagreements are settled with violent confrontation usually involving a gun is the primary cause of these actions.

I'm also a child of the 50's who was in the Wolf Cubs, Boy Scouts, and Senior Scouts. It is also a generational thing, I used to hear my parents say "wouldn't have happened in my day" Now I hear myself saying it ..... Todays young accept it how it is, they have never known any different, or dare I say it better.

Any how back to beer.

Heard the same thing in the 40's Chris so isn't nothing new back before the age of the TV and Dad said how well we had it. :) Well we didn't we worked our butts off nights and weekends.

Seen something yesterday called "Just Mayo" made from plants with zero fat at all. The guy that ate it said it was better than the real stuff.
