So where's the listing on eBay showing how much each rig went for? I wanted to see the bids and results! I'd been waiting to see how Sagan went for. All three auctions are gone. Never have seen that before.

Which message? The one from BOINC Manager on your computer, or this thread? If the former, alerts automatically "fall off" on their own. If you mean the latter, I believe threads are only removed under extreme circumstances.
