My Ipad went south with the time yesterday. I just don't know why, but I had to reset the time on it. Now for the weather: Well.. hey man, it's the hippy dippy weatherman... man.... :):) |

Although the time is back to normal, Celt, I did get an indication of it's failure. One of the "ping" times (UTC) to/from Stanford dropped out. Before that happened, the time went for an extra 1/2 hr. It usually pings every half hour. Then, after an hour, it went back to normal. Weird. In my electronics days, nobody liked dealing with problems that couldn't be duplicated. Am retired, now, so, will just put it on the shelf for future reference. |

The most beautiful Aurora Borealis' I ever saw were in the winter of 1950-51, in North Dakota, Celt. Subdued, but intense colors of the full spectrum, in bands that looked like ribbon candy, slowly undulating in the northern sky. It was about 40 below, and I'd watch them, as I trudged home from delivering newspapers. What a silent, beautiful contrast with my frost-bit nose and ears. |

My Ipad went south with the time yesterday. Eeek!! A hippie!! ;) Today's a nice day here, not a snowflake or raindrop in sight here, though on Cylon Occupied Caprica it's raining there. Meanwhile in GOP/Cylon occupied America, T-storms along the gulf coast. An EF-4 tornado struck Fairdale, IL recently, town destroyed. Ill Gov starts fund raiser to get town back on its feet.. Never saw an Aurora Borealis in Germany, had to travel to Kansas to see it in the 80s. Saw plenty of Satellits tho. Now I wish I could spot some rain. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

There's weather and space weather, like the Chelyabinsk Meteor that exploded above the Earth at 100km, which caused minor injuries and temporary blindness cause the explosion was brighter than the Sun itself. Just be glad it wasn't a Tunguska sized Meteor, the explosion over a city like NYC would have been much greater in scope and millions would be dead and/or injured as a result according to Space.com. 7 million was quoted by a NASA Scientist, but then Earth is a part of NASA's mission, just as Congress intended in the 70's and later on.
