Strong winds hit Central Italy, falling many trees. Northern Italy was shielded by the Alps, as always. Now we have the Foehn, similar to the Chinook of Northwest America, It is a wind which heats by descending the Alps and was known also to the Romans who called it Favonius.

We may or may not have set a new record low this morning. The old record was 2F. One TV station said we hit 0 at some point between hours. Another said we only got down to 3. Either way, it was colder than that out here.

Anyway, it is now about 23F and still rising. Supposed to be in the 30s tomorrow, 40s Sunday, and 50s a couple of times next week. Hasn't been 50 since November. Hasn't been 60 since October.

We need more rain. Still at least five inches shy of normal. It is supposed to rain on Wednesday. I guess I will wash my truck again, that always seems to work.

I need more COLD air, it was 81F/27C outside and is still 85F inside, My 3 windows to the house are wide open, I'd have the cooler on, but until a few days from today(Sunday March 8th) I can't get the motor installed, hopefully the guy will install the 1/3hp motor for $15.54 or less, cause that is all I have now, it's that or wait until sometime in April.

Another day here heading towards at least 28C and there are thunderstorms just to the east of us (maybe we'll get some of that stuff a bit later today), but so far this month we're averaging 26C which is 3C warmer than summer was.

Cheers.

Heading towards another 80F/27C day with no cooling(the swamp cooler needs a motor to be installed and I may need a new cooler pump too), just a large floor fan and 3 windows to open, that's the cooling here right now, last night I closed two windows and by accident(I was sleepy), I left a 3rd window open, oopsie. The outside temp is 61F/16C, inside the temp is a barely tolerable 75F/24C, yesterday the high inside was 85F/30C...

Sunny and 79F/26C here today and tomorrow. Overnight lows in the high 40s/low 50s. Chance of rain Tuesday night/Wednesday, more likely in the Sierras than on the south Valley floor. Couple days from the Vernal Equinox, but it already feels like early summer.

Hi, Spring is nearly here. 5C to 8C. I am on a ski slope. Beautiful time. The Sun is dangerous and hot. Need oil sun. The snow started to melt rapidly.

Bye.

MMMM Vic, keeping the windows open overnight is a good thing. Then closing them at a about 8 am should keep things cool during the day.

Over 40+ plus in the House is a bother to me, but below that, I learned to hang.

Yes Grant, I am not holding my breath for that either.

The snowpack is at dismal levels too.

Yes we got a bit more rain, but still in a dought situation.

This area has moths flying around, I do have a trap out, but it only catches males. I'm feeling sleepy, later.

I just wish I could find a blank plate for a C14 electrical socket, since I don't know what the proper name is, I'm stumped, since I searched and searched and I found nothing at all.

It got to 29C here today until storms developed around the area which gave us a few drops, but greatly knocked that temp down (it's a very comfortable 18C now).

Cheers.

65ºF at 2:15 PM, it would have been warmer I think but it had to burn off the fog this morning. Like Uli I'm waiting to see if we get some useful rain tomorrow.
