Hello, I am quite new to the Boinc community and have a concern regarding the boinc process in Activity Monitor. The actual Boinc Manager application is running (and it shows its running in Activity Monitor) just fine and making progress on calculations, but it shows that a separate process boinc, is not responding (run by boinc_manager). I am currently running three projects being SETI@home, VirtualLHC@home, and ATLAS@home. I am running Boinc 7.4.26 with Virtual Box version 4.3.20 on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch) (2.7 GHz Intel Core i7) (16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory) (Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB). As an extra question, I have also had many issues with ATLAS, showing messages like "Postponed : VM job unmanageable, restarting later" or "Postponed : VM environment needed to be cleaned up". Why does this happen? Do any of the listed problems mess up calculations? Thank you for all of your help. Best Regards. |

"Postponed" is the new terminology for "waiting to run" used in older BOINC version. I'll leave it to more knowlegeable people to answer your other questions. |

As far as I know, calculations can not be made wrongly as their is verification process at the end that checks the calculation result. If it was not as expected, the whole task would be cancelled and restarted. Again, this is far as I know. Ramy O.
