What I would give for a reheheally hot bath now, water supply on electricity sucks man... cheers.

I have it since 30 years now.
Never had a problem.

Time for more beer so i hopefully get some sleep tonight.

Cheers.

Just think of positive things Mike, you'll sleep like a baby, cheers.

Will try.

But as soon i start thinking about managers i need to vomit.

Cheers.

The managers here are great, it's the engineers who are vomit inducing. Most recent example:
Piece of equipment breaks that I need to do my job, no worries, let one of the managers know and carry on doing one of the other things I do. While busy doing ten things at once the engineers turn up.

And say nothing.

Five minutes later...

Engineer: *cough* We need that space clear to work
Me: Pardon?
Engineer: *points* That space, did no one tell you it needs to be clear?
Me: Just stick that box over there, I'll be taking care off it later
Engineer: We need the space clear to do our job
Me: *red mist begins to descend*
Me: OK *nods and smiles* *moves box three feet*
Me: Hows that?
Engineer: *turns to other engineer* We can work now
Me: *mutters something under breath not repeatable on this forum*

An hour later and I was still fuming. Unbelievable. Cheers :)

My point is that "difficult" managers don't always stay where they are. Adverse feedback gets noted, and staff are sometimes moved to where they might better fit in.

Phew, could do with a beer now :-))

There was a short book written in the 60's called the 'Peter Principle' which stated that in all endeavors people rise or are promoted commensurate with their performance. When they reach the point where that performance drops off or stagnates they are no longer promoted because they have reached their 'level of incompetence'.

This pretty well explains why there are so many 'managers' and employees who are terribly bad at what they do. They have reached their level of incompetence, realize they will not be promoted further, are stuck in their present position and so take it out on others around them.

Had my first 'cheer' of the season yesterday, a Coors Winterfest 30th Anniversary brew, very tasty.

Grant,

It is raining so hard, and the wind blowing so fierce, here that my i-Phone woke me up a half hour ago with "Flash Flood Warnings" for my area. I turned on the news to find "We are getting an inch an hour in the Bay Area." Schools are closing around the Bay Area due to Flash Flood Warnings...

You wanted rain; we got rain...

Grant, you are getting hit harder then me. No wind so far, but we got a half an inch so far. WOOHOO.
Two county workers are trying to keep the drains clean, in my 30 years living here, that is the first.
When I first moved here, I took care of that. The neighbors neither helped or said thank you, so I stopped. It will go into their houses, before mine anyway.

G'morning everyone.

It's good to hear that I'm not the only one getting heaps of rain (it's lucky that I live on the top of a hill on the top of a mountain range).

90mins until LLB time here.

Cheers.
