Apparently they are modern and come from what is called Steampunk. Obviously meant to be in the Jules Verne style.

Well I'll be darned, you are quite a detective. I just randomly stumbled on them on a site called Dark Roasted Blend.

Now that one has me stumped. I can recall most of the shows from the 70's but can't recall that one. Checked on the list of shows from that period & so far, can't find anything.

Can you remember anything specific from the show?

Edit:
As the topic is about TV shows. What annoys me the most is the north American TV companies not doing the DVD's. Case in point is a great Canadian show - Flashpoint.

It is available in region 2 but it's a Dutch import with all the covers in Dutch! :-(

TV shows not coming out on DVD usually is a matter of having the distribution rights, either for the program itself or for something in it, such as music. Shows being made now usually include all that in the original use agreement, but older ones are often prevented from being released by that stupid little legal problem.

My mom loved As The World Turns. It would be cool to have all 50+ years on DVD, but it would take a truck, and some time to re-watch all of that. :~}

Don't you mean "As The Stomach Turns!"??? Sorry, NOT a soap fan.

Though, I did catch a few episodes of General Hospital in the '80's when people in my school thought it was cool... I couldn't get into it.

I liked ATWT, but my mom was a long-time fan, and we both miss it. Tuning in every day, it becomes like an old friend.

Can you remember anything specific from the show?......

The main thing I remember is one of the actors. He was a 40 something, tallish bloke with a thin build, short "Beatle" style hair cut and wore thin rimmed glasses. He was also in a couple of other British cop series from around the same time and always played the "nasty cop" role.

If you can remember "Meares" from Callan, similar size and build but older and had lived a harder life :)

Ah, Anthony Valentine played "Meares" if I recall correctly. From your description, I'm wondering if you're thinking of George Sewell. He did many back then. The only one I can think of at the moment is "Special Branch" if he is the actor.

I am not much of a TV watcher, but when you have kids.....
Of all the crap they watched, I have to say Scooby-Doo was my favorite.
Pluto will always be a planet to me.

LOL, every time I watch my favourite show & see Kensi & Deeks on screen, I can't help but think of Deeks as a live action "Shaggy".

No, not George Sewell, the bloke I'm thinking of was much slighter in build.

Patrick McGoohan was also in The Prisoner; an excellent series. Chris, was it Danger Man that got renamed Secret Agent in the US??? The Prisoner eludes to the assumption that McGoohan's character from the first show is the same character in The Prisoner; but, The Prisoner NEVER states the character's name.

Frances Mathews as Paul Temple comes to mind as does Peter Wynguard in Department S, and Patrick McGoohan in Danger man, Derren Nesbit in Special Branch.

Sorry Chris. None of the above :(

I'll call it quits for now as I don't want to hijack the thread. Thanks to you and Sirius for the suggestions
