I am looking at the cooler master v8 gts for my socket 1150 cpu. In the write-ups on amazon and on the cooler master web site they say it's for an 1150, 775 sockets among others. However when you download the manual from their site, the installation instructions only talk about socket 775.

Are they just sloppy with all of this gibberish. It looks like a powerful air cooler that would work as long as all the dimensions check out with my memory-sticks but how can I reply on it fitting on an 1150 socket?

Install manual at link:

http://www.coolermaster.com/xresserver01-DLFILE-P130607000186b8-F130607000241d5.html

has installs for combined LGA 1366/1156/1155/1150/775, and some separate
instructions for LGA 2011.

Hope this helps.

Also remember your case and RAM clearances, too!

Many thanks Mike,
Somehow I got the manual off the site for V8 but not V8 GTS.

I'm good on my case clearance height. I still have to figure for my memory sticks and I'll wait on that 'til I get them on the MB and measured.
